Commented this on the other thread about over the air updates. Anyone else notice what I am noticing?

I have an XL. The one thing I have seen since the update is I now get the annoying "this truck is sharing some info with Ford, you can manage what is shared in the settings" message. I have to "OK" it on the Infotainment screen each time I start the truck.....did not have that "warning" before the update. Seems like we are going backwards here folks.

If I recall, I have seen people complain about the need to acknowledge this type of message in the past, and the only solution they found was to stop using the FordPass App. Thoughts?
Always been a thing on mine since I got it new…. I’m assuming you’re talking about the connectivity informational pop up? Maverick been a bother to me as I either just press ok immediately before driving or just let it go away on its own as it seems to do after about 10 seconds. As far as updates on my end, the speakers popping and going out and then coming back has reared its ugly head again, has only happened once so far in the few days since I’ve updated, but as always it’s random so hard to document it on my end to prove to the dealer that I’m not crazy lol

Looks like there's a new update for the infotainment system for Sync Lite/2.5.

Downloading as I type this.

New version: G2.1.0.1_R22362A (446MB)
Previous version: G2.0.0.1_R22285A
No clue what's been updated, hopefully it fixes the audio popping issues (happens sporadically).

Your luck may vary on getting the update. Will take a few tries at scanning for updates with a decent internet connection and more importantly WiFi signal (that the vehicle is getting). Last time I had to use my mobile hotspot, this time was via WiFi.

I have not had this message pop up once since I've bought my truck too. Is there a setting to turn that message on and off?

There is not, which is precisely the problem and why people who have it happen hate it. Haha.

Pretty sure the little message on the bottom is new? Or maybe I just haven’t been paying too much attention, lol.

If you put in Lasfit reverse bulbs that gets washed out.

Sarcasm aside that's been there for a while I believe.

Pretty standard disclaimer that's been around for probably as long as backup cams themselves. It's been there on your Maverick from day 1 unless there was a bug.

LOL! That message has always been there though. The cross traffic alert will actually flash arrows on either side of that message when it goes off.

My 2023 finally updated. Had to reset it after the update to finish since it was still stuck on the old version even after the update.

I had the same experience. It required a soft reset after the install to get it to show the new version.

Got mine updated today! Took about an hour. Had to do a soft reset after it was done. It seems much more responsive now!

With the range in download/install times - 20 minutes to over a hour, do you keep your truck running while in process? Ignition in ON position? Other?

I have a hybrid so kept it running. The ice never turned on so no gas wasted!

I have the EB, but you're supposed to keep the engine running, and you can't take it out of park. Hope this helps!
