What draws me to the Maverick is 4 doors and flat towable. I have two small dogs and a MH.

Is there anything on the XLT that I wish I would have that the XL doesn't have?

The big one that jumps out is the locking tailgate, but as soon as an ARE hard painted bed cover comes out I will buy that.

I want the copilot 360, spray in bed liner and tow hitch for sure, everything else is easily added later if I want it.

If MSRP hits 30k, I will buy the Bronco instead. The dealer has a First Edition for 37k on the lot. I usually do not go for the upper trim packages because I never use all the added tech and I don't care for the bling.

I just sold my 2020 F150 to Carmax for more than I paid for it last year, so my only transportation is a 65 Mustang. I'm retired and my wife works, so when she is at work I am stuck home when it is raining, like today.

The biggest deal breaker people seem to complain the most about on the XL is lack of cruise control of any kind. Now sure how you feel about cruise control.

Sounds like cruise... it will likely push us to the XLT

Yea Cruise is mentioned most. I was torn also, but went with XL as I don't use cruise much at all.

I was able to add trailer Hitch and copilot360 and come out at 22k including destination/dealer fees. Less than the starting price of XLT that you would still have to add Copilot, hitch, sprayin and fees to.

Another thing mentioned here is the interior colors, the XL is grey black and blue. XLT has the orange accent interior that some people don't care for. It was another reason I went XL after I sat in one.

I went XL, 360, Spray in, tow hitch, rear window. (if you go 360, power mirrors are included)

A/Z Price $21,997

Cruise wasn't an issue for me and I liked the steel wheels along with the darker interior.

I went with XL, the only negative to me is no cruise control. I like the XL interior better and will put aftermarket wheels on eventually.

I couldn't take the XLT orange or blue accents. So for me it was either XL or Lariat.

I also have a Bronco on order and the Lariat moves too close to that price point for me. So I kept it simple for my daily driver and went XL all the options you mentioned plus a rear sliding window and sunroof.

Plan to add the tailgate assist, a auto-dimming rear mirror w/homelink, and will kick around the idea of Katzkin seats.

Also waiting patiently to see if someone will put out directions with Forscan to enable Cruise and swap out buttons.

All of that and I'm still easily less than the XLT with those accents.

I like cruise but I live in Middle Georgia right off I-75. The volume of Florida and truck traffic prevents me from using cruise at all. We are making a trip to Denver next June and cruise would be nice, but I can live without it.

The big question is will I be able to order a hybrid and have it delivered by Jun 22?

Ford annouced Hybrids will be sold out at beginning of Nov, so you only have a few days to get your order in.

No one knows when we get the vehicles, some ordered back in June and still waiting. Leave off the sprayin liner and get aftermarket if you dont want potential delays. I did watch a popular youtuber that said Ford plans to have all orders in production by March. Delivery takes some weeks also.

There will be many looking at adding cruise here, so I'm keeping an eye on that.

The XL has a manual tailgate lock which should be fine for occasional use.

I’m not buying a topper so I’ll just add the $20 hinge lock to keep the tailgate itself safe

The interior was a big factor in me choosing XL. Also I'm coming from a barebones tacoma so even the XL with copilot360 is adding a lot of stuff for me. I don't feel like $2300 is worth it for rims and cruise control, I'll probably add aftermarket cruise or live without it.

Another difference is the number of tiedowns in the bed. Not sure if that matters to your usage.
