If you wipers are not "fast" enough, you probably need to slow down anyway! JMHO.
You are probably right. 30mph in light rain is waaaayyyy to fast.

I'd agree, driving 60kmh in heavy rain last summer, wipers on high and I could hardly see.
There IS a way. I often drive in heavy rain without wipers on at all. RainX applied directly to the windshield is very effective.
I just feel like applying RainX shouldn't be necessary. I'm doing it because I have to pull over in moderate rain if I don't. I've just never had a vehicle this bad at shedding water.

As a test, I took a video of my wife's car and my car and counted the full cycles. The Maverick did 1 cycle per second. Hers did 3 cycles in 2 seconds. She has an Equinox.

I use rain x and hardly ever use my wipers. Especially on the highway. Still have the original wipers on it. 37k

I had a treatment on my windshield when I first got it and it's basically the same thing as Rain-X. But it was part of the deal. Cool thing is they're supposed to give you 10 wipes so you can treat it 10 more times, or like for five years, but they sent me 20 accidentally so I'll keep using them. 😂

And it's good at shedding the water but I don't think it's ever rained hard enough since I've gotten it to really know how well the windshield wipers work. They seem to work ok though.

We had our Maverick in the hurricane in NC last September. I don't think I've ever been in heavier rain. The wipers did the best they could but they were not perfect...not sure perfect was possible in the hurricane. I've never had problems in other situations.

We do drive a 65 Falcon with single speed wipers all across the country so I understand slow wipers!

Sounds slow to me, almost like it's on high speed intermittent. Have you had it inspected by your dealer?

I use Rain-X window cleaner. After a couple jugs, you will notice you don't need to run your wipers as high. I've driven in some pretty heavy rains without feeling like the wipers were too slow.

Does anyone know of an after market motor that will work with the maverick but move faster than a wipe every second? I've never had a car with such slow wipers. And before you ask, yes...the wand is all the way up. The high on this truck is like medium on every single other vehicle I've ever had.
You should take it in for service. It will have one of two outcomes: 1) they fix your defective motor unit or 2) they will show you how to turn it to the highest setting. Both solutions solve the problem. Because, if your Maverick is working correctly and it is set on the highest setting, it will wipe as fast as any other car on the market.

I was simply responding to your statement there there was “No way…”

I put mine on high this afternoon out of curiosity. Though I didn’t use a stop watch and take their pulse, they were probably close to what you say the Equinox does, and certainly not as slow as 1 per second.

Ok dickhead, I took it in the first few months after I got it. They said it is operating fine. But fuck you very much. The question was about mods. It was not an invitation for you to show us how much of an ass you can be.
