I think you are missing some of the sarcasm and fun in this thread. Trucks and truck people always have and always will poke fun at each other.This thread is something else. Both options have thier pros and cons. It is possible to both think you made the right choice for you and that someone else made the right choice for them.
But if I see conjecture masquerading as fact I'll likely mention something. Maybe that's a problem I have? On the flip side it looks like bias confirmation seeking behavior is real.
And the insults say more about the people slinging them than anyone else.
You are correct both them have very specific needs they meet. For some the hybrid fits the bill much better than the ecoboost.
For people like me the ecoboost fits the bill for what I need and I have a lot of fun with these little motors and know them better than most having built many of them and had great luck with them. But I do more truck things with them. Awd, more power for towing and the fun aspect fits me better. I do mostly highway driving for work and very little city.
I just like to poke fun at people who think the only correct choice was the one they made.
