Why No Keypad?

IMHO the keypad is the greatest invention since sliced bread!!!!! The last time I touched my key fob was August 29th, 2022 at the dealer. 15K miles later, I have not once had to look for my keys. No "where are my keys???" and not having to carry them in a pocket, although not that difficult, sure is nice.

I had the touch entry and lock on my Bronco Sport. I hate having a key again and having to dig around for it. It's going to be a while before I get use to it again.

I could have held off on my Tremor for a MY24 being built this week but wanted the keypad and wiper heater. Nope.

My 24 Lariat hybrid that I received last week has both. The window deicer and keypad. The deicer is listed on the Ford build site under the LUX package. We did pay to have the dealer install the keypad. But it works the exact same way as the factory one.

Check your window sticker - it's likely not there. Maybe they had some leftovers from MY23 and you got a lucky early build?

All I can tell you is it's there. The Ford site lists the following as part of the Lariat LUX package on the hybrid. I can't speak for the other trims. It's also listed in the 24 owners manual.

i would trade it for the ACC which I incorrectly assumed was on the 360 because they changed their minds for 23

Most people likely do in modern cars, GPS units built into vehicles suck, because you have to pay for map updates, which is stupid.

I use Google maps some but do NOT blindly follow detours around blocked traffic using desert trails, etc. but it's nice the trails are shown.

He asked us where we wanted it and did not install it until we were taking delivery. He already had it programmed.

I don't see this symbol on mine or my sons 22 with the lux package. But the 24 owners manual has this. I wonder if were talking about the same thing.

It comes with a card with a QR code on it and instructions. You can set one personal code which is really simple just by pressing a certain sequence of the buttons. The wife wanted it so I went ahead and had the dealer program and install.

And I will not be getting the manual sliding rear window or 400W 110V inverter after now waiting 14 months for what I ordered.

My XLT was assembled last month of 2023 model year builds. I ordered sliding rear window and 400W inverter. Color is Area 51.
Use the keypad nearly every day.
2024 build would have been quite different.
