Have not touched the suspension on my Tremor, I like how it drives and rides. Am considering moving to a larger tire size but haven't explored it seriously yet.

I am curious about reasons to level the suspension though. I admit I have a preference for a slight front to back rake, but am wondering whether leveling is all about esthetics or if there is some functional benefit?

Not touching anything, not going to give Ford any reason to not replace the CV axles under warranty when they inevitably fail.

I have no need for a lift because I don't off-road/overland or anything like that. I also don't need to lower because I'm not 5'3, don't have kids, dogs or any of that, and I'm not going to pretend that a mid-size boaty SUV with a bed is a wannabe sports car. :ROFLMAO:

I am going to be 75 years old in a few weeks,. I do not want to have to crawl down in my car or to have to crawl out. I presently drive a dodge minivan, that I love. One of the reason I love it it is because it i high off the ground so it is easy to get in and out. in addition this give me better visibility around when I drive. I wanted to raise my soon coming maverick but because of the cv joints issues I might not do it. I probably just install the tallest tires in can install without rubbing.
Fwiw, I was not able to install even a 1” front lift for the same CVT joint reason. But I am running 245/60/18 tires with no rubbing … I am told they are the tallest possible tires that can fit on a Mav without a lift or rubbing.

They have three benefits … slight higher ride height, they fill the wheel well gap a little better than the stock 225/60/18’s, and the extra rubber improves the ride a bit.

Yeah lol, but in my opinion a lowered truck is UGLY. I'd like my Maverick just a bit higher, 1 1/2" or so. I don't think that much would cause problems.
It depends. I've seen F150 and Silverado 4x4's lowered and not a fan...

But I grew up in love with the GMC Syclone. It was the ONLY truck I wanted at the time. So in those or a Lightning or a 454 SS... seeing them sit down lower I think looks good. The Lobo... sure.

Please help me understand why you would "lower" or "raise" your Maverick?

Is it something the younger owners do?
Do you enter in car shows?
Does lowering affect the ride quality?
Is it for the "coolness factor"?

I'm just a few weeks shy of 65, and have owned many family and business vehicles over the course of my lifetime. I never considered raising nor lowering any of them. My hybrid Lariat Mav is the only vehicle I ever spent money on accessories on because I plan on keeping it for the long haul, but raising nor lowering never crossed my mind.
Lift = ground clearance. It's why Jeeps sit high above the ground
Lower = lower center of mass for improved cornering. It's why Corvettes sit low to the ground

The first vehicle I slammed was a Chrysler 300. I did it for handling purposes, it had a lot of body sway. It improved handling and I found I liked the look. My next car was a Dodge Charger R/T. I left it alone because handling was great. Both vehicles were a PITA in winter snow. I promised my wife our next vehicle would be fuel efficient and great in snow. Enter the Maverick. I added a 1” levelling kit and Toyo A/T tires. It’s a winter monster which clears any snow encountered so far. In the summer it also gets me through rut filled paths to my favourite fishing holes without scraping. The “look” is an added plus to me.

CV joints? The design is flawed. They will fail me sooner than a stock setup but they will eventually fail regardless. I’m not going to let shoddy engineering determine how I use my truck.

I am coming from the overland Toyota crowd, but found the Maverick compelling. Mine is lifted with 30.5" 245/70-17 tires (stock is 29"). I go camping and like to get to the good spots, where the roads can get a bit rougher. I like the extra ground clearance and beefier tires. I also like the look a bit, as it makes the Trucklet look a bit tougher. Yes, I am already on my second set of CV axles. I will replace them with Tremor units once these fail again.

The Maverick is technically the Wife's vehicle, so the decision was ultimately hers. When we won a set of Eibach springs at the MTC roundup in 2023, I asked her if she wanted to go lower or higher; she decided on higher, so we ordered the lift springs, even though we didn't have the Maverick yet.
When we ended up getting a Tremor, I checked with Eibach to make sure that the springs would still work with the Tremor 100%, and they will.

You said you are on a second set of cv axles. About how many miles do they last?
Yeah, your Maverick sure has that bad ass look, which I like!

The first axles lasted to 36K miles. Noticed some seeping an a slight shimmy on acceleration. If/when this set fails, I will do the Tremor axle swap.

I may have ordered Maverick parts before I bought my truck... My friends were giving me so much flack, but there was a limited supply of JJC fog light brackets.

What kind of question is this? The Mav looks good both raised and lowered. In your 65 years you should have noticed that many people tinker on and modify their cars among many other things.
