I went back and forth. In the end I went AWD. I Wanted 4K towing.

AWD. I like dispersed camping in the Cascades. Most of the main roads would be doable in FWD, but I'd rather have the peace of mind.

That and the EB will be more snappy...

In the 16 years I owned a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab I never hooked up anything to the trailer hitch so I have no need for AWD. Not going off road either. No snow in Texas.

I picked the Hybrid as 90% of my driving is in the city and short trips. Hybrid should get well over 50% better MPG in the city (Ford is aiming for 40 MPG) than the EcoBoost (23 or 22 MPG).

FWD (and hybrid) for me. It’s going to be a very handy commuter.
I’m fortunate to be able to keep my 4wd truck for any bigger jobs…

AWD. Because I have to report to work before sunrise and manage snow removal duties and determine whether buses can run and schools can open. We only get 3-5 snows a year, but they sometimes can be really big. We flirt with the freezing line, and when we drop below freezing, the rain forest turns to a snow forest.
