This cover looks so clean. But it’s more like $1k shipped. Any tips how you got it for $800?

I looked around online and I think it was just more about timing. It's one of those things I kinda risked buying from a site I had never heard of before. When I found it, they had it listed for $780! So I jumped on it. I got it from AGI and you are right, now it's over $900.

What I usually do with stuff like this is browse for weeks, save a bunch of bookmarks and follow the prices.

If I had to pay $900+, I'd go with the MX4.

The Ford OEM hard tri-fold is the BakFlip G2 model made by BAK industries. The difference between the G2 and MX4 is the G2 is gloss black finish and MX4 is Matte Black finish.

That and the MX4 supposedly is more water resistant.

I just picked up my truck, so I can confirm the hard trifold isn’t to glossy, it matches the black trim fairly well.

Does anyone know who actually makes the hard Tri fold cover for ford? I ordered it on my 22 mav. but not on my 23 due to restraints and wanting it built. B ut I love to find the one that the factory uses but not at the factory prices. Any I deas?

I have the “Maverick “ hard tri fold. If I had to do over I would buy something different. Some of the screws were stripped out, it leaks no matter how hard I try to seal it. The screws inside are corroding and leaking. Water gets inside the panels at the seams and leak at the screws. Sturdy cover but has issues.

Yes, all three fold up and easy pull wire on each section. One of the things l love, is when l have to grab an item that has slid up towards the cab, that it's so easy to get at by folding them up and easy reach over the side of truck into cab. Although l am 6'1", lol. Point is, factory also generally installs properly and it's easy to operate, so l just went for it.

It was a Bak Flip I think. I did not pursue warranty work but probably should have. It was included in the truck purchase but installed by me. They were not to willing to work with me on warranty as it was not installed by them. In my opinion the defects had nothing to do with the installation but I did not push the issue. It was a $1200 trifold. Would have opted for something less expensive but was included when ordered by the original buyer who got tired of waiting for his Maverick.

I think you are right. it is a 4 piece system that all three pieces fold up. That is what I'm looking for unfortunitly it's $1100 just like the dealer. Thanks

If installed by you l doubt the warranty applies to leakage unless a part breaks like a pull wire, hinge, etc.

I also purchased this cover. I got it on sale for $778 from jeepandtruckparts.com

Couldn't find anyone online saying they were a scam site, so I gave it a chance. I had no issues at all. But it's not on the same sale anymore...
