I have the Rough Country hard tri-fold. For the half the price of the BackFlip or Ford branded cover, it's actually decent quality (it's basically a direct copy). The instructions weren't great, but with some fiddling around, I figured it out. No regrets on the purchase so far.
Is yours the newer model that flips up to the cab? I’m still waiting on it to ship (2 months already) but looking for feedback on how watertight it is. Thanks!

Mine drains to the largish holes in the corners neat the cab. They are easy to remove and clean too.
I'm sure I can enlarge those two holes in the corner near the cab. JDMaverick mentioned he had rubber plugs on the sides of the bed but mine must be covered by the factory spray-in liner. Thanks

The one I have doesn't fold up against the back window, which isn't a huge issue for me.

https://www.roughcountry.com/product/maverick-low-profile-bed-cover-47254500

It's not watertight near the tailgate but as others have pointed out, neither is the OEM.

The model I purchased shipped pretty much same day.
Diddo on Armour Flex fairly easy to install with 1 person would recommend 2 thou for aligning etc. Ordered from RealTruck got nice MTC Forum discount $$ great service shipped quick well packed.

I'd be interested in hearing how that works out for you. Please keep us updated.
Lookie what came today. Super happy with the outcome (see post #5 & #12 in this thread). I did not even use the weather seal yet, since I had the old seal from my soft tri-fold). I do wish this cover was about 1/2 to 1 inch longer, but it still covers the entire bed. This top also has battery powered lights in the rear section next to the latches. I also added new door sill protectors.

Does it look like it would be easy / quick to remove?

That is the reason I like this type of tri-fold. There are no side rails to deal with. If I want to haul my motorcycles, I just remove the cover completely (4 clamps) and store it in the garage.

This is the one I have. Seems to keep the bed dry…seen a lot of rain. It’s ~$490 and there is currently a coupon for an additional $30 off. Note that the panel next to the cab does not fold up, but the whole thing can be easily removed. I have the Lariat Hybrid
How's this holding up? Found an opportunity on a local deal and curious if it's worth the time to check it out. Any hardware or access issues/peeves?

I ordered the same one on Ebay. Seller accepted $309. I did install the included weather stripping flush to the back window but just because it was there. Probably not necessary at all I just liked the remaining paint strip covered up. So far I definitely have been extremely happy with it. I don’t see anyone just looking for an economical hard cover being unhappy with it. As far as being waterproof I would say about 95% or better. I power washed the truck and there are 2 spots in the back corner where light was coming through about the diameter of a pencil that could be sealed with some of the weather stripping but I didn’t even bother as it’s good enough. It’s a no brainer buy in my opinion. It would have been nice if it had 2 additional center clips as it sits very slightly lower in the center but that’s probably just ocd type concerns for someone at this price and could be that the bed rails incline slightly I think anyway.

Same one I have.
Mostplus is the brand sticker on mine.
Along with the locking tailgate, It does what it should do. Secures items from honest folks and keeps things relatively weatherproof.
Removal in 7 minutes.
Four clamps that loosen with only your hand tools. In other words the tools on the end of your arms.
I am satisfied with it.

Holding up great! No leaks still
Great to hear and thanks for the quick reply! I scooped this one up and as it's my first tonneau I wonder if I could just check with you about two things...?

Without clamping it down it lays kinda wonky - definitely not flat. The front corner rests about 1/4" -1/2" off the bed rail. When I do clamp it though it seems to stiffen up and it's in contact all the way around. Normal?

Two of the joints look a little rough around the hinges and I can't tell if there was some damage or if it's just excess manufacturing material / imperfections in the build. Again - normal?

It does seem to open and close smoothly so I'm not too concerned. In fact, for the price, I'm happy regardless and definitely keeping it on the truck. As a first timer though it would just be some peace of mind to know if this is all par for the course or if maybe I should keep a bit of a close eye on it for a while.
