I agree Ford recommends the oil change range from 7500/10,000 miles for the Hybrid with Synthetic oil. So I will be doing my 1st around 8000 splitting the difference, I don't tow anything and drive like a little old lady!
I’ll probably change mine once a year, around 5000 to 6500 miles.

I assume truck will flash screen message of time to change based on usage since prior change or "it's been one year, time to change". In response of driving like a little old lady, I remember 75+/- year old lady in her black T-Bird about 1960 I think would come to business next door each month to pick up rent check and when she left and headed towards downtown probably to deposit or cash it she would lay at least 200 feet of rubber!🤗

For those that do... using the stock filter and listening only to the Escape's OLM (after an initial change at 5K miles), used oil analysis said to leave it in after 17.4K miles (9.3K ICE miles). It looks better than what came out of the C-Max, at 10K vehicle miles.

Anyone using 1950's oil change intervals needs to give up their keys. This isn't SA-rated motor oil.
That is interesting data. I do not have my hybrid, yet. How do you check ICE mileage? Also, initial oil change at 5k, then follow the recommended interval?

Don't worry about Motorcraft 0w20, if you can't find it, any synthetic 0w20 will do. I usually get Motorcraft, only because its usually cheaper than other full synthetics. In my CMax, I've run Castrol, Mobil 1 and even (don't laugh) Amazon Basics. Change every 7,500mi since day 1 and not a speck of sludge.

Amazon Basics Full Synthetic Motor Oil, SN Plus, 0W-20, 1 Quart, 6 Pack
Kirkland 10 Qts $35

Subtract the electric miles 👌

That old C-Max iron ppm was consistently horrible. 10 ppm to 20 ppm iron per 10k miles is the normal range, as shown on other C-Max examples. I'd suspect those DAMB tappets or cam surfaces first (Ford occasionally doesn't get the parts vendors to carbonitride those correctly), gudgeon pins, or timing chain problems.

The Escape numbers are normal.

6 pack would be perfect since it's a 5 1/2 qt capacity I wonder who makes it?

In the past, my conventional thinking is do the first oil change at 500-1K miles to get rid of any manufacturing filings and what not. But I’m thinking I actually might wait until around 5K and gave it serviced by the dealer. This is based on @STARCOMMTREY1 commenting on his 1K oil change and the YouTube video showing clean oil at 5400 miles. It’s not really a cost consideration, it’s more a ‘does this really help any’. Not trying to waste oil, money for no reason.

What is everyone else thinking?
When the truck tells me to do it, People are scared to wait that long,

When the Oil Life monitor says to or after one year happens this December.

Or maybe never as I am ordering a MY2023 Hybrid Maverick XLT on 8/15 and this time not forgetting the trailer hitch and selling my current Maverick as Carvana is offering me $9,578 over my Out-the-Door price.

Don’t wait until too long. Used car prices are already moderating.
