What will you name your Maverick

It's actually the Ford rollup offered from accessories.ford.com. it comes with a Ford logo embossed on it. But it's made by Truxedo for Ford.

How do you like the rollup? I’m still debating between tri fold and roll up. Is it locked when closed?

I like the look. It stays very taut. True test will be warm temps in summer and see if it starts to sag.

It is locked because it snaps closed and the tabs you use to open it are under the tarp behind the tailgate. If the tonneau is fully closed and your tailgate locked, it's inaccessible. Not fully secure because someone could cut the vinyl top. But it wont be just an open and go thing.

I did add some z-channel weather stripping on the end because the tonneau is about 1/2 inch shorter than it should be for a perfect seal. It was easy to install, bought from Amazon for like $10 and keeps my bed sealed. I drove down the Oregon Coast in full on rain for days and had no leakage. I also added weatherstripping to the tailgate. Worked great.

On a full size truck, I didn't like the roll up. Because rolling it back in place is hard to keep even and taut as you roll it closed. But with the smaller bed on a Maverick, it's much easier. But I do repull the sides and velcro them taut every time, because I like that fully stretched and tight look.

My tank and crew just let our experience and proficiency show the way. We all agreed we didn’t need to name the tanks we were on. And that’s how I feel with my Maverick, although I’m tempted to get the “Top Gun Maverick” logo put on the tailgate.

Think I'm gonna change its name to the Silver Buffalo. Reason being is a buddy of mine has a V8 S-10 that's white, and we dont ever see it. I started calling it the white buffalo. A white buffalo or albino buffalo is extremely rare and therefore never seen. Well since I ordered this thing in december and will probably not see it until july/august he keeps asking me about my "Silver Buffalo" whenever he sees me.

I replied to a post with what I named my Ford Escape. Since it was black and blue, I named it Bruiser. Now that I am getting a cyber orange Maverick I'm trying to get a name for it. I haven't yet found a name. If you name your vehicles, what have you named them and what do you think you want to name your new Maverick?

Some random ideas: Pumpkin, Bus Stop (due to it being the colors of a school bus, almost). Charlie as in Charlie Brown's TV show (Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown). So far my favorite and maybe my pick; Pi as in Pumpkin Pie but using the mathematical version.
