Early Lasfit adopter here for my ‘22.

Obviously that didn’t turn out so hot - went through two regular sets and the replacements and then back to stock.

Checking now to see if there’s a better option now. Diode dynamics? Lasfit updates? Anything else?

Looking for rear tails/turns/reverse/3BL.

Don’t need front.

I've replaced everything but the brake/turn lights with Lasfit LEDs. I think I'd prefer to just replace the entire housing unit with an aftermarket full LED setup, preferably with amber turn signals. So far every time I've seen a post about the brakes/turns, they end up posting later that something went wrong and they went back to stock.

What caused the premature failures?

Lasfit claimed they had circuitry that worked with the OBC to prevent issues. But it wasn’t hyperflash that was the issue but instead they burnt out. Not sure why. Over and over.

I use these, but I turned off hyperflash with forscan. I have them for all brake, and front turn signals.

Ive used external resistors with other bulbs in other cars, and they get HOT, like, you wouldn't expect them to be remotely that hot.

Once you see that you understand that anything with a built in resistor in a tiny bulb package like that is bound not to last.

best way is either proper external resistors, or turn it off in software.

Almost all the lights on mine are converted to Lasfit LEDs. I've done the front turn signals, third brake/cargo lights and reverse lights. The headlights are LEDs from the factory, so I don't have to worry about hose. All that's left are the brake lights and, if I really want to be picky, the marker lights.

The markers I'm not gonna bother since they're a bit tricky to access. But, I do want brake lights since I know I can replace them easily. Eventually, I was thinking of getting the black bezel LEDs with the separated amber sequential turn signals. However, judging by the few Amazon reviews, they're a mixed bag.

I don't want to spend all that money just so they fail prematurely and get stuck having to return them or not being able to return them at all because of a strict return policy. For whatever reason, it's so hard to find a simple set of LED bulbs. I'd be perfectly content with those but they just don't exist. I figured with how long the Maverick has been on sale, the aftermarket would be plentiful.

Heat from the built in resistors most likely. Lasfit was the biggest wast of money, half burned out before they were two years old. Put the OEM bulbs back in and moved on.

My story as well, replaced once under warranty, they died again, no more Lasfit for me.

I see Sylvania makes high stop, side marker and front turn signals in LED. No rear turn signal in LED though. I trust Sylvania after cheap LED's from Amazon fail..

I have had these running 2 years with no issue. I did take a dremal to the tops of the socket so a 7443 lamp would fit. Also shut off bulb out in forscan. They are very bright and so far are holding up.

The front turn signal are these
Had to mod the socket too

May go this route. I've used Auxito LEDs for other applications, they are high quality bulbs.

The Auxito is for front turn only, I tried the red Auxito in the tail lights, drew too much power and shut the BCM down. That’s why the DDM TUNING works great
