The 60/40 folding rear seat. With a single car seat in the maverick, The under seat storage is completely useless to me. Its quite a pain to Install/remove the car seat so no storage for me.

The features are about the same. The Maverick ride is good, but the CX5 ride is better.

Pretty common answer, but I still get a kick when I heel toe downshift and hear the 500 abarth exhaust crackle. Going to miss having a fun impractical toy in exchange for a boring practical car.

I don't know if I will miss much. Coming from an 04 Dodge Dakota and a 2001 Ford Mustang. Neither had all the tech that the Maverick has, they had plain old fashion key start so I won't miss not having the push button start. I might miss the 4x4 in the Dakota but only used it a couple times during the winter, with all the Traction and Stability Control the Maverick has probably won't miss that too much. I do know I won't miss the 15MPG of the Dakota and the 22MPG of the Mustang as I will most likely be getting well over 35MPG most of the time with my XLT Hybrid Maverick. The Maverick will be my first NEW Vehicle every, always had used vehicles. I plan on pretty much babying it and not be too hard on it, probably never off road it and I will keep it clean and looking nice.

You can get this Chamberlain device and use your phone to open it: I've had mine for years and works with my old mastercraft garage opener.
MyQ works, but I also have a wired HomeKit garage door opener. (You can also make MyQ work with HomeKit if you do some research there.)

When I pull up to my house, CarPlay automatically presents a garage button. The garage opens when I tap it. Very easy.

I use this to prevent having any garage remote (or HomeLink) in my car. Wouldn't want someone to pop open my garage just by getting into my car.

Coming from an '04 Tacoma that I did some minor mods on, just the general feeling that it would take me through a warzone and back if I asked for it. I never care about hitting minor things on the highway or getting rock chips or minor scuffs since it's no show car like I used to have. It has been a great, reliable, and capable beater.

The Honda reliability 🤣
Now sure why you are laughing as Honda reliability is very real.

My wife's 2009 Honda CR-V Ex which she has had for 13 years and 87,000 miles on it and still owns has had only one repair. 01/11/2020 $16.18 Door Jam Switch.

Total Maintenance over those 13 years which includes:
Maintenance cost: $3014.60, per mile cost: 0.035

(13) Oil/Filter Changes
(4) New Batteries
(2) New Set of Tires
(4) 4-Wheel Alignments
(1) Transmission Fluid Replace
(3) Power Steering Fluid Replace
(3) Brake Flushes
(1) Coolant Flush
(1) Front Brakes
(1) New Pair of Headlights
Numerous air/cabin filters and wipers

My 2015 Honda Fit Ex that I owned for 7 years had no repairs at all.

Total Maintenance over those 7 years which includes:
Maintenance cost: $1281.29, per mile cost: 0.029

(7) Oil/Filter Changes
(1) New Battery
(1) New Set of Tires
(1) Brake Flush
Plus air/cabin filters and wipers

So that is 20 years of Honda ownership with only one repair of $16.18.

Now compare the above history to:

1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab that I had 16 years + 4 months:
Repairs cost: $3853.94, per mile cost: 0.052

1994 Ford Taurus
Repairs cost: $6142.93, per mile cost: 0.065

I am hoping that Ford's reliability has improved since I owned these vehicles. Note that Ford did improve from the 1994 Ford Taurus to the 1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab.

My manual transmission. Have the shifter nob from my 94 ranger and will place it in the little cubby next to the screen.

I've seen a lot of the "no cruise control in XL trim" posts and started thinking about what I'll miss once my Maverick (finally) gets here. For me it's definitely the no HomeLink button for garage door openers. Sounds trivial but I've had something built into my visor for probably the last 20 years, and now I'm going to have an ugly fob clipped to the visor. Can't wait for a brand new truck, but that little thing just bugs me. You'd think it would be integrated into the Luxury package, or at least a $150-$200 add on...

What do you/will you miss from your last vehicle(s) in your new Maverick?
Homelink is easily added in the aftermarket. Search your area for custom automotive shops.

Am going to miss the button start its nice never having to take your keys out of your pocket to open or start the vehicle, also going to miss the shifter I like having a shifter instead of a whatever you call it.

I won't be missing anything as this is going to be in addition to my wife's car and the 1993 Tbird that my daughter and I are cleaning up together.
