Who’s interested in a set of replacement tailgate tie-downs? These are to replace the stock tie down lost when the tailgate assist is installed. These are made from .09 304 Stainless Steel.
I have 3 sets available and will probably have another 5 or so sets available either later this week or...
Oh I’ve already had plenty of weight on it and plenty of shake tests. The rack is completely rigid. I tend to over engineer just about everything that I build.
No plans to. The aluminum extrusion is already anodized, so no sense to remove that and powder coat it. I would have preferred black and put this was laying around so silver it is.
Finished up my homemade rack recently. Built from 1.5” square 80/20 anodized aluminum extrusion and 1/4” aluminum for the brackets. Built it mainly for when I need to haul my kayaks around but will be good for just about anything I need to carry.
8500 mile on mine. I commute from NH to MA and back 5 days a week. Ive only run 87 and get a pretty constant 28.5 mpg. Mostly highway with some city/back roads mixed in. Can go up or down depending on my driving but 28.5 seems to be the sweet spot.
Looks decent, just not a huge fan of the off center rear tire you get with the lift. I think I'm leaning towards a 255/65/17 on stock wheels with just a leveling kit.
