any of the tonneau covers are pretty easy To install. I wouldn't worry much. I'm sure there's a you tube video out there on the install.2007 Chevy Avalanche LT 5.3L FlexFuel V8
126,000 miles / 15.8 mpg
Gave up the ghost earlier this year. Great truck. Only problem was disintegrating GM plastics and constant replacement of bad sensors. Engine was great, everything else eventually fell apart. Got to the point where replacing parts cost more than monthly payments on a new one, so she had to go.
Had been salivating over Mavericks since they were announced in 2021. Figured I’d drive the Avalanche till the wheels fell off and then get a Maverick - which I did! 2024 Lariat 2.0L EB AWD with 4k Tow Package. Averaging over 32 mpg (double the Avalanche) and love the size (super easy to park and navigate in tight quarters). Perfect!
Only thing I miss from the Avalanche is the 3-panel composite bed cover. But I’ve asked Santa Claus for a Leer HF650M, so that should be remedied soon enough! (Would love some feedback from anyone out there that has one - especially concerning ease or difficulty of installation.)

Nobody likes you!!!We're glad you're enjoying your Maverick, thanks for being a loyal member of the Ford family!
They do have their similarities. In a lot of ways the maverick is a rekindled Sport Trac. You can see the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac in my profile pic.
Loved that truck, love getting 42mpg better than the 14 mpg of the sport trac.
My wife said the Mav looked just like the old truck. I said, yea, I love my Fords. Black, too.![]()

No love for the fordbot. LolNobody likes you!!!
A 2022 Toyota Corolla lol. And I thought it was good on gas. Nope! What did you drive before the maverick? I replaced a 2016 f250 supercab long bed gas. Just wondering how diversified the maverick community is. Because the maverick can play alot of roles in the automotive world. I see people get out of Priuses , trucks, suvs, minivans. I bought mine because I needed a daily that could haul a boat ,camper small stuff. Superduty was nice when towing the stuff I have didn't even know it was there. But I first a Formost I needed a daily driver for a 60 mile round trip. My Maverick has filled that slot perfectly. What's your story?
