What did your maverick replace?

Not really replace directly anything. I sold my old F-150 about 12 years ago when I went to a crossover SUV. Traded that away a year ago for a sedan. Missed a truck usability, especially with just a sedan, so here. A Maverick.

I take delivery on Monday and my new Maverick is replacing a 2022 Civic Si. My first Ford and first "truck".

I'm really going to miss the Si but health issues with driving a 6 speed are making it nearly impossible to drive. Researching a new vehicle lead me to this website and based on what I've read thus far, I made the choice. First test drive in a Maverick was this past Monday. It was a 2025 Maverick Tremor. Loved driving it. I then drove a 2025 Lariat (same day) and loved it even more. Pulled the trigger Monday night on the Lariat.

I have a 25 Tremor, If you do not plan on off roading it much, the Lariat was probably a better choice. Functionally, I think the interiors are nearly Identical.

What did you drive before the maverick? I replaced a 2016 f250 supercab long bed gas. Just wondering how diversified the maverick community is. Because the maverick can play alot of roles in the automotive world. I see people get out of Priuses , trucks, suvs, minivans. I bought mine because I needed a daily that could haul a boat ,camper small stuff. Superduty was nice when towing the stuff I have didn't even know it was there. But first and foremost I needed a daily driver for a 60 mile round trip. My Maverick has filled that slot perfectly. What's your story?

For the most part the Maverick is replacing a 2008 Ford Focus. Though at the moment I am keeping the Focus for my wife to use to run the kids about town to summer activities (the Toyota FJ is pretty rough on gas for those short trips) and then I will also use it in the winter as an airport car. It is also replacing the GMC 1500 that I used to borrow from my late father from time to time. I needed something to carry a bit of gear (camping and hockey), along with a few bags of mulch from time to time and get some ok milage. All boxes checked!

A 2006 Chevrolet Impala 9C1, I sold it to my brother this January with 220K, and It's still going. LOL

2022 Tesla S with 50k miles. Not replacing it but the Tesla is not getting driven at all since the new vehicle. I wanted a Truck and my 25 tremor is perfect so far. Way more comfortable too.
