While I'm not a fan of the whole idea for my other cars, I won't complain if my Mav with a Cobb tune automatically gives me extra boost as you describe above.
While I have a lot of the same complaints about these as everyone else, plastics, janky radio etc, I don't stress and really enjoy driving the little mofo. I'm old enough to remember when people were happy if a muscle car squeaked into the 15s in the quarter.
To me the Mav is hop in and go car...
Almost every time I've shopped for a used car I end up with a black one, somehow the model/trim I want shows up at the price I can live with, but never the color.
It almost happened again when I shopped for my used Mav, but this time I said hell no and kept looking, I live in a very dusty town...
I got mine because I was thinking about the mini truck vibe too, even tho its large by those standards. I was also thinking about how back in the day when AWD Turbo 4 cars were coming out and I couldn't afford em, so this also scratched that itch.
I can be very fickle but assuming I don't lose...
Man a lot of these comments make the Mav owners sound as insecure as the big truck owners are accused of being. Maybe he just parked with no intention, maybe he parked thinking I'll go next to another truck. Maybe you have a neighbor that just likes his truck as much as you like yours and that...
The paddle/manual shifting is the only thing I'm jealous of, I'm kind of surprised that in 2022 a car with an auto non-cvt trans didn't offer it. Everything I've bought 2010 model year and up has had some form of a manual mode.
Oh yeah I'm sure it does, but if a Lobo and non Lobo were both lowered the same, same tires etc with only the torque vectoring being the difference between the two I wonder how much ahead the Lobo would be on a track.
I've been thinking about that ever since I took my mav thru this canyon area, way more capable that I expected it to be and this is an FX4 with kinda knobby tires from the previous owner.
Once they are worn out it will be time for that better rubber.
Main reason I bought them is because on Reddit someone posted about a kitten crawling down that hole. Lots of stray cats in my area so any prevention I can do for those kinds of issues help.
Also that same area lets leaves in on my old 1972 Ranchero, maybe its a longtime Ford thing!
Oh ok, maybe that's what happened. I did see a discount but it didn't explicitly say it was built in from Maxzina. It mentioned a digital discount which I get all the time if I let them select the delivery date on things, so I didn't realize it was a different digital discount.
I guess in a pinch I could do that with bags of cat litter since I always have a few 20lbs bags in the house. Just gently lay the bag on the roof to not cause another issue
