Wow, very nice. I was actually thinking about using Katzkin to redo my FJ Cruiser seats. I was curious about the quality and it looks like they might be a good choice.
This weekend drove up to Fargo and back for a hockey tournament. Milage(hybrid) was only about 24 on the way up and 28 on the way back. Though with temps in the single +/- digits, I was glad to have the remote start.
My wife doesn't like to drive my Mav, mostly because he doesn't like the color. I am ok with that. She has managed to drive our car into the SUV and the SUV into another car. I am ok with having a Mint Mav a little while longer.
A few weeks ago I was driving my 2025 hybrid (~2000mi) and felt a tinge of a vibration and noise. My first thought was that it was the CV joints and that they are going to go bad sooner than they should. Keeping a close watch for now.
Last night I used it for the first time for the reason that I upgraded to it. I took both boys to hockey, and dang, I almost wish I had more bed space, but we did get both bags and sticks to fit (under the bed cover), though I am almost certain that we are going to have to roll the cover back...
Taking son to scout camp about 90 miles away, I got 37mpg. Last night on a quick round trip about 35 miles away both city and back road driving, I got 42mpg. Needless to say I am happy about that.
Meanwhile at the hall of justice...
Just passed 1K miles this weekend. It was during a road trip up to my cousins cabin near Hibbing, MN. Milage on the way up was 37mpg (I can't complain). The thing that annoyed me the most was constantly being told to put my hands on the wheel when my hands...
I think its funny that some will say that 191 hp on the hybrid isn't enough. I am thinking that my 78 caddi V8 didn't even have that much and it weighed probably twice as much. One thing I like about the hybrid is I don't feel guilty about the short trips in it. I got 35mpg just going to...
I've had mine for a month and a half and about 500mi. I love the way it rides, though the hybrid coach has turned driving it into somewhat of a game. I bought a retractable cover and though it was a PITA to install I still think it is the best option.
Used my Maverick to take the youngest to archery this morning and later in the day I picked up the oldest from the week long Boy Scout camp (I was sure glad I could vent through the sunroof and back window ;).
For the most part the Maverick is replacing a 2008 Ford Focus. Though at the moment I am keeping the Focus for my wife to use to run the kids about town to summer activities (the Toyota FJ is pretty rough on gas for those short trips) and then I will also use it in the winter as an airport car...
This is first vehicle that I have had with a sunroof or the opening back window and I like having both. I got to my Mav at 10 last night and it was still hot from sitting in lot the last 4 days. I opened both and air was fresh within a minute or 2. The AC is great but it annoys me that it...
Well I have had the truck now for a little over 3 weeks. Though I have driven it only about 200 miles. So far I like most everything about it. It handles nice, fits in my garage (barely), gets as good if not better milage than my Focus. A couple things I am having trouble getting used to: i...
I did end up buying that cover. Took a lot more to install than I thought it would. It seemed that I would have the rails lined up, but in the act of tightening them they would shift in such a way to make the cover difficult to close. After an evening and a morning of cursing and struggling...
I was all set to buy a RealTruck Roll-N-Lock M-Series XT Manual Retractable Tonneau Cover w/ T-Slot Rails, but I didnt jump in their sale soon enough last weekend.
