The manual button for the door lock on at least the driver's door. SO EASY to accidentally engage! Looks nicely integrated but only takes a slight brush up with your arm to lock the door which means opening another and reaching around to unlock it.

Maybe I need to give the muscle memory a little while to memorise, but about 1 time out of 10 I am finding I am hitting the trailer pro button instead of the start button.... so if that was less "shaded" by the trailerpro control it would be nice, maybe bulge the dash out a little for it. IDK what would work..

... it's actually leading me to consider the start button bling as a practical mod rather than a joke.

How about a 10 mph rear bumper so the truck isn't totaled in minor rear end collisions? And add some corner steps while you're at it.

Quadruple the capacity of the hybrid battery.

Engine option of Fully electric AWD with Range Extender gas engine.

Pass-through rear cab to bed.
That would be copying the Chinese truck. The BYD Shark drive train which is similar to our locomotive drive system and is genius. A diesel motor generator with an electric motor drive train but for cars with batteries.

That should be an updated design issue now! But darn that cost money and Ford ain't doing it. They spend more time on mark ups for their profit center.

well, they could add that at a production cost of $200 and charge an extra $800...that's what most gew-gaws do, like "upgrade" radios.

What is wrong with your dial shifter? My shifter works great (much better than a stick shifter)!

I love the dial shifter too, drove my Fusion with it for 5 years and 160,000 miles, I love how the shifter is not in the way anymore.

Give the owner the option of turning off ALL unnecessary electronic warnings, horn honks, etc. without having to get/use Forscan. Just let me turn off stupid, useless things like the seat belt warning/confirmation - OK, have it appear if I put the vehicle in Drive and anybody is not buckled up, because that is unlikely to happen more than maybe once a year, if that. Stop making me respond to pointless things on the dash/display. And when I change ANY setting, leave it that way until/unless I change it again - in other words, STOP resetting things back to default every time I shut down. All that does is increase driver distraction.

Gadgets, gew-gaws, body shape, electronics, engine systems; anything.

I think the drive mode selection/auto brake buttons should be on the dash, not down low next to the shifter dial. They seem out of place there. I have a 23 model, and I love it, but a 6' box would have been better. A better seal on the bottom of the tailgate. Dirt and other shit seems to get in there. Thicker paint, it didn't take long to get a small chip on the front of the hood. The hood could be stamped out of thicker sheet metal too. A mild hail storm dented my hood, but only the hood. My old Ranger and my wife's mini van held up just fine.

I'm not the only one noticing the frail paint? I swear I could chip it off with my fingernail. I already have a score of chips on the front, and some on the side, one from the slightest contact with a PLASTIC tool box.

Class action lawsuit in the works?

after 56k miles the front end of my Maverick has held up better than the front end of my previous vehicle which was a 2017 Mazda CX-9 that adjusted for inflation cost significantly more.

it's not a Ford thing. it's a EPA making all the good things about car paint go away and what's left is thin and easily chipped. wrap it in PPF if you don't want stone chips. every luxury car over 100k will have it done from new, guaranteed.
