I saw a few '25s at the dealer today. They look way better in real life than they do in photos. Not bad at all.
Uh, they don't start production until 11/11.

Well then, what did I see? Do some other Ford trucks have the exact same design?
The 24 Ranger, and several other newer model Fords have similar accent lights, could have looked like a Mav from a distance?

Just bought a '24. Thought about waiting for a '25 but just don't like the look of that front end. The shape of the lights don't bother me, and in fact I don't even see them. But I can't unsee the panel below the lights which makes up a large portion of the front end and looks so tacked on. Passed.

Yeah, it was a new Ranger. If you look at it quick, out of just one eye (and it was my bad one), it looks a lot like a Maverick. I am surprised the '25 Mavericks are not out yet.

Well the Volkswagen Thing wins as ugliest car.
It's up there, all right, but the points it scores for looking like Erector Set save it from a first place finish, even after the penalty points for its origins as a Wehrmacht staff car (Kübelwagen). (and it's kind of odd that they never shipped a 4wd civilian version, given that the design was already there [and had been used on the wartime schwimvagen)

Also with the 25's you should get a little bit better visibility at night with the new front end change since the headlights sit a little higher versus the 22 through 24's.

Had not thought of that. That might be the reason for the re-design. Good eye.

It's one thing I've noticed since owning my maverick, at night the headlights coverage aren't as great as other vehicles. Since the leds are lower to the ground, and I've personally checked the aim & alignment of the low & high beam.

On my 24' the low/high beams center at 30 & 1/2". If they would have moved them to the top instead of the bottom of the housing center would be around 37" for better light coverage. I don't think personally flip-flopping the DRL to the lower portion of the headlight would hurt anything. But that's me.

Same here. They ruined what was an excellent-looking Maverick front end. And "tacked on" describes it perfectly.

The black one looks OK because it hides the fugliness of the disaster. But I won't buy a black vehicle because I live on a long gravel road. It ain't gonna wash itself.
