"stupid" quite harsh word. Let's help one another.Sorry. I didn't add anything. I think it's stupid to repost your (or anyone's) entire block of text to know it's in reply to you. @FriscoTXJoe would work better. Nobody is going to reread the post again and nobody needs the entire post on their screen twice. It looks dumb when every reply in a thread contains a massive quote.
It's just personal netiquette of mine. Only quote the relevant parts or the parts I am referring to/replying to. Like quoting a source in a university paper... You only quote the important part not an entire page/paragraph of the source.
Stupid = not the best//smartest use of the quote function."stupid" quite harsh word.
Hi there yourselves, it's always nice to hear you folks from Ford are paying attention now & thenHi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.
So this single update addressed the shuttering and grabby brakes? My truck had the engine shuddering, grabby brakes, and infotainment issues. My local dealer picked it up mid-June and had it for two days. They could not find any mechanical issues, but they did update/reset the PCM software. I was skeptical and annoyed that was all they could/would do.
It has been nearly six weeks now and the shuddering and braking issue has not returned.
If you experience any shuddering, take the time to get this done. Insist they do it and bring a printed version of the TSB so they are informed. My truck was in the shop BEFORE this TSB but because my tech understood the issue, he got me straight. He said that on my first oil change they can update it again if needed. I will insist they do this even if I'm not seeing the issue again.
Unfortunately, the infotainment system is still crap. Hopefully one day Ford sends out a significant update for that.
It made a huge difference. I would describe the brakes as sensitive and slightly grabby. I would not consider it a persistent issue anymore. The shuddering issue is all but gone, only popping up slightly and sporadically over the past few months. So this single update addressed the shuttering and grabby brakes?

The issue is related to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). My tech described what they did as a reset of the PCM because what they are seeing is that for whatever reason the software that is controlling these things gets wonky. A reset to factory helps but he warned that over time it may come back until Ford issues a true fix and update.
There is a recall to be aware of. I have copied it below. There is no fix yet, but I have seen speculation online that this recall and future fix is directly related to our issues with brakes and maybe the shuddering too. Fingers crossed it helps. Reprogram powertrain control module

Just to clarify, I am not claiming that Recall 23E09 - Reprogram powertrain control module - is a new recall or that it will address issues with the brakes or shudder. I am only mentioning that I have seen some speculation online that whenever the PCM reprogram comes, it might also fix those issues. There are no new recalls on the NHTSA website and I think the recall you are thinking of with remedy not yet available is the engine fire one.
