What you've created using the stock side marker is exactly what I'd have preferred. I'd keep mine black, but it will work really well with your truck. It'll look great.
No primer and one coat was probably enough (I did two because why not). The can I bought from Walmart was primer/paint all in one. To prove the point, I had to literally scrape off that little bit of overspray I got on my light. It was on pretty good.
The side marker has 4 screws on the back. Remove them and the front cover pops off revealing the 4 lights and the already painted silver accents. I taped around the silver accent and applied two coats of spray paint. On my second coat of paint, some of the tape lifted up and I got a bit on my...
I ordered them on Amazon (currently sold out): https://a.co/d/2gaifyc
I recommend joining the Mabett Maverick Accessories Tribe group on Facebook. That is how I saw the announcement to grab these lights before they sold out. https://www.facebook.com/groups/604022178409538/
I bought Mabett's new side markers. I was excited to try the new style and appreciated the plug-and-play design. I was not crazy with the silver accent, so I painted them to match the XLT rims and grille. Following recommendations, I used Krylon Fusion Metallic Dark Metal spray paint.

I used the points for an oil change and Ford's factory license plate holder for the front bumper. Still have a few points left. I purchased floor mats and bed cover online a year before I even got the truck and points.
Thanks for this idea! I think it has solved my issue as well.
Last week I took inspiration from some other posts and shoved some folded papers into the dash and windshield to see if that would help. It was noticeably better throughout the week. I wanted a cleaner looking solution and stumbled...
Just to clarify, I am not claiming that Recall 23E09 - Reprogram powertrain control module - is a new recall or that it will address issues with the brakes or shudder. I am only mentioning that I have seen some speculation online that whenever the PCM reprogram comes, it might also fix those issues.
It made a huge difference. I would describe the brakes as sensitive and slightly grabby. I would not consider it a persistent issue anymore. The shuddering issue is all but gone, only popping up slightly and sporadically over the past few months.
The issue is related to the PCM (Powertrain...
My truck had the engine shuddering, grabby brakes, and infotainment issues. My local dealer picked it up mid-June and had it for two days. They could not find any mechanical issues, but they did update/reset the PCM software. I was skeptical and annoyed that was all they could/would do.
It has...
Over the past 3 weeks, by truck has started to shudder the majority of the time my ICE engine comes on or off. It varies in severity, but it's pretty much constant now and it's really concerning. I cannot really capture it on video because the shudder is felt more than heard. But I have heard...
First off, I really hate this. But, I also feel some relief. My truck experienced the occasional engine shudder/shake in the first 2-3 months of ownership (bought it Jan 30 2023). It happened a handful of times during coasting as the gas engine shut off. During the last two weeks, the shudder is...
That is encouraging to hear. I have not experienced a "rumble strip" level shaking event in well over a month. I have had a few minor shakes during transition from gas to electric, but none I would consider excessive or overly alarming. The brakes are still not perfect, but much better compared...
I have to disagree that issues 1-3 are simply traits of a hybrid system. A trait of being a human being is that I have bowel movements. If my bowel movements are irregular, cause me to shake violently, or they make me lurch off the toilet something is wrong with me and I look for it to be fixed...
What I am seeing and hearing in your videos, I think your problem is not exactly the same as mine. Yours almost sounds like a car I had with bad motor mounts. I get those odd sounding transitions sometimes when going from gas to electric, but not a harsh sounding as yours. When my particular...
Yes, I think you have captured the issue on video quite well. When driving and this happens, does your truck ever feel like you are driving on rumble strips? In my case, sometimes the shake is quick an not super noticeable in the cabin, but on some occasions it is VERY noticeable and the entire...
Thank you for sharing your experience and this video. I have kept up with this channel and had not seen this update yet. My truck was built days after the fix and Ford insists that my software is the latest, but I have serious doubts. I hope I can find a tech as reasonable as your did. The...
I’m not sure. I don’t use brake hold because the truck is so inconsistent driving under 5 mph. Some stops are smooth, some are not. Sometimes I can tap the gas pedal to get it out of hold and other times I need to press it more. So the lurching for me happens with that turned off.
Now, the...
