I had the Trailer Module Recall done on my 23xlt on Monday 27th, at 10:51 pm Ford pass tells me I am in battery saver mode. At 4:03 am on the 29th Ford pass tells me I am in Battery saver mode. I had this problem before but not after Ford put an AGM battery in it truck in October. Has any one else had this problem after the Trailer module recall has been done.

You’d think the dealer would put a charger on it while doing the upgrade, IF, and I mean IF, they knew it was going to be awhile and drain the battery a little! 🤔

I'll add to the correct info in prior posts - if this AGM battery from last Oct hasn't made it a year - you likely have had a few intermittent battery drains start, but at least not finish.
Because even the default AGM charging strategy of 92% SOC max, should result in voltage of at least 12.4 resting normally. Unless you really don't drive it much at all.
(do you normally get to lock your doors overnight, or always unlocked in garage since getting AGM?)

But if hitting 12.1 V to be in battery saver mode already - something has likely drained your 12V battery during a few of the 75 min periods before going to sleep. Maybe finally going to sleep shuts off the high draw, but it already did some damage.

And the new update without being on a tender did more!

You should be able to take your alert notices into dealership to get a couple more software updates to the ABS & ACCM regarding some SSM's for intermittent battery drains.

Had mine done yesterday in conjunction with oil change and tire rotation. Only took an hour for everything - I was in at 2pm and out at 3pm. It’s only been a little over 24 hours, but I have had no problems with my 24 Lariat EcoBoost.

Had truck serviced in driveway by Mobile Service. Tech had issues doing download. He claims, and I not knowledgeable of this, using his cell phone as hotspot. Says downloading slow. So used our wifi to expedite things. Took him 35-40 minutes.

I would have thought it is odd doing this with cell phone, given the laptop should have software embedded in it. ??

I see similar comments in work orders that are posted - even when they are at the dealership.

Downloaded update.
Seems every single time.
And sure, there could be 2 or more versions of the file for each year, but still.

Pretty bad system where you can't download these files that are probably not that huge, and the system confirms when it has an internet connection, if the saved updates are all the latest.

I'll bet this was the lazy programming method of making sure the tech always checked for updates - don't even have the files saved to reuse. Instead of just declaring an internet connection is required by FDRS to confirm latest file.

Mine was done OTA when it became available a few months ago. Haven't seen a low battery warning since.

I had the update done by the mobile service on my 23 Hybrid XL and it took less than 10 minutes.
Did not have the deep sleep problem after but am having it now, @ a month later. Also had it during last winter.

MY original battery lasted 1 1/2 years and I suspect the replacement is now bad.

At the time of 1st warranty replace - was it AGM, or still SLA?

Ya, only effect of module update would be not having truck on maintainer and like keeping the door open lights on during a slow process.
That can take the already undercharged battery down more than a bit - and if not driven much it'll take awhile to get it back to where it was.
But at least on big drains the BMS is inspired to charge higher on subsequent drives.
