The 2022 XLT without the luxury package did not come with hitch.
Oh yes, I was talking 2025's, sorry. They now come standard with a 2k lb trailer hitch receiver and 4 pin connector on XLT and up. They don't have the Lobo details yet, but what's currently available to build, anything up from the XL has one.

I can't imagine a towing package will be available with the Lobo. It is a performance model with a lowered suspension. It is not intended for utility.

The 4K Pkg. is well worth the initial cost just for the added cooling ability. I have a 25 on order really only need the FWD Hybrid (main purpose to Tow behind RV) but also wanted the 4K capacity so AWD was my final option. When I looked at occasionally towing a cargo trailer (U-Haul rental) the stock 2K capacity does not get a very large Trailer. Upcoming Move 400 miles 1 way and doing it several times with a trailer just reinforced my decision on why to order what I have.

It may still be worth it in 2025, even if you have to pay the extra $800 for Co-pilot 360 to get it. IMO, the advantages for the price made it a no-brainer in 2022-2024.

" FWD Hybrid (main purpose to Tow behind RV) " did you read the ugly stories about this on the this forum?
I know what the manual says but I also read the stories.
What I now believe is that flat towing is just for emergency, low speed and short distance but this not clear. Not for long distance and normal towing speeds but it seems that there are many different opinions about this.

I plan to eventually upgrade my cooling setup to the larger radiator, fan and adding the transmission cooler. I have FWD, so we shall see about fitment/compatibility.

I have had stuff overheat in the past with summertime heat and traffic in the Atlanta area. I got the towing package on my 2014 FWD Enclave, and that tolerates this environment a lot better.

Yes I have researched it in depth and there are MANY Maverick Hybrid owners across many RV forums I belong to (close to 10 or 12) that are using the Maverick Hybrid as a TOAD and No Issues. Several have over 10K miles towing as a TOAD. I have experience in setting up and towing Various TOADS and know following proper procedures is paramount in success.

Only negative is slightly lower highway miles due to the lower gear ratio. The plus is better resale value.

I was after better cooling too but I learned that the hybrid does not get the larger radiator
my understanding is that the hybrid starts with the larger radiator, so it doesn't get "added" with the package. Its that wrong?

I'll definitely be lariat, which already includes the 360.

If it works the same as the F-150, there are two different ones, one for several minutes for car wash and the like, and one that stays until removed for towing.

What is your TOAD 's name?
I'd go with "FROG"
🤪

And as the OP said the extra cooling is worth it for me here inTexas.
I didnt get the tow package. I dont own a trailer and no intentions to get anything bigger than a snowmobile trailer.

I kind of regret it. For the exact opposite reason... id like a bigger thermal mass to keep my truck cabin warm at -30c. My truck cools off way to quick. I can watch the temp guage go down as soon as i let off the gas.

-30C? Shouldn't you be in one of these?

I was mistaken. The Lobo comes with the 2k lb hitch standard too. I missed it earlier. Looks like the 4k isn't available though. Which makes sense.

One thing I notice with the 4k towing package and the extra cooling capacity, now that the morning temps are dropping into the 30's, it's starting to struggle to hold it's heat up. Normal is 4 marks on the temp gauge, but on the cooler mornings (and they will get much colder as the winter comes in), it takes 4 miles or so at 55-60 to get up to temperature, then out on the interstate at 70 it drops back to three marks lite on the temp gauge. It comes back up when I pull off onto a side road, but I can already see when it gets down around zero there may be an issue. First year with the Maverick, so will see..
Sooo is there a performance difference? Hard to imagine between those temperature digits there would be much of a gap in performance? Don't know.

Hmmm think I saw on Ice Road Truckers they put a blanket over the front grill... those kind of pads they put on outdoor public maintenance water lines. But that's below zero.
