2023 Alto Blue extra cost

I ordered Cyber Orange which at the time showed no additional cost. A day or two later, Ford started showing the $495 fee for Cyber Orange. I fully expected my dealer would pass this cost onto me and I had no intentions of fighting it. To my surprise they dropped the $495 without me even mentioning it(In addition to dropping the mid-year price increase). I never made any modifications to my order.

Wonder if the extra charge will pay for thicker paint. Not the toilet paper thin stuff on most trucks.

Velocity Blue must have had the thicker paint serum.

Mine has zero chips after 1.5 years, unfortunately it was only a 2022 option.

Nope. I have velocity blue and have chips in very strange places. I can't even fathom how they got there. Front bumper is good. They are on the drivers side and hood. Just behind my bugflector. Definitely not a thicker/tougher paint.
