Black box speeds just before impact and before heavy braking......Correct sir
Not sure but think 1.5 ton GMC truck (1948-9?) had 75 on speedo. Don't remember where/if peg was. Been too many years but I think peg was considered RPM "red line" since tach's were almost non existent.Anybody remember/seen speedometers from the 1980s.![]()
Can't remember but Mav EB's are running similar 0-60's as 80's Z28's and Mustang GT's. Mavs with AWD that is. Not too bad.Not sure but think 1.5 ton GMC truck (1948-9?) had 75 on speedo. Something to which to aspire.I'm driving my Maverick right now and just tried to max it out, but it wouldn't go past 108 mph. I have 255/45/20 tires. I have the 2.0 turbo, front wheel drive, no tow package, and it was in sport mode. Does anyone know why the speedometer goes to 140 if I can only go 108?
Unless you tune it, there is probably no reason as in many other vehicles. Probably had them lying around. Also gives people that boost in ego who don't know that their MAV's don't go that fast.Something to which to aspire.
Never seen a car that didn't have a speedo that went to less than 120
1960’s era military jeeps (Willy’s?) had speedometers that went up to 45, but had graduations to 50. Really scary to bury it!
1972 Datsun 240z read up to 160. But the best I could get out of her was about 137.
No, it matters in that it is evidence of "avoiding" the law which could be presented in court before the prosecutor asks what other laws were violated. It could sway a juror. Besides some insurance companies offer discounts based on data recorded I do not have any idea how much memory the "black boxes" have but 1 giga bytes of storage would be enough to store at least 30 years data history of your driving.I actually welcome that so proper blame is addressed. But if I went 100 miles an hour a month ago and got in an accident tomorrow doing the speed limit, that shouldn't have anything to do with the 100 mile an hour outing, right?
ummm ..on the dashboard.... That circle looking thing on the right... that says 140.. above the fuel gauge... That's advertising
Nope!Hitting governed top speed and engine cutting out.
My '14 Focus St 2.0 l turbo passes through 120 mph in fourth gear [with 5 and 6 still to go]. But NOT with me driving!!!I'm driving my Maverick right now and just tried to max it out, but it wouldn't go past 108 mph. I have 255/45/20 tires. State Farm offered me a discount for a plug in monitor on my vehicles and I said nooooooo! No, it matters in that it is evidence of "avoiding" the law which could be presented in court before the prosecutor asks what other laws were violated.
