If you have any vehicle alerts in the Ford Pass App, remote start is disabled. Try clearing any alerts in the app. Mine did this once and clearing the alert solved it. Remote start apparently doesn't work when you have MIL (check engine light) or alerts in the app.

I used the remote start several times yesterday. The second time, I could not start the truck remotely because I got the HillAssist Problem warning. Just a glitch I suspect, but could not remotely start the truck until I cleared the warning in the FordPass app.
