I have a 2025 maverick Hybrid 4K tow AWD with Bliss. I really desire intelligent access and push button start as well as a 360 cam and adaptive cruise. Should I pull the trigger, but if I do am I shooting myself in the foot.

I picked the right one the first time.
Sounds like you didn’t.

I've had cars with push to start and adaptive cruise and ones without, my $.02, they're not needed. I'm perfectly okay with having to physically turn a key to start my truck. Same with the cruise control.

That said if you want it, you want it. You know your situation better than us. Just make sure to show us the new ride after you get it ;)

You may see what’s available, then see how much you may lose. I think a couple of those things are in your APP.
You bought a hybrid economy truck. If you really want luxury features, go for it!

Go for it. I under-ordered my 2023 XLT, bought a 2024 Lariat, then traded it in on a 2024 Lariat Tremor. The lack of push to start on my '23 XLT drove me nuts, after having multiple vehicles with that feature.

As long as you have the funds, do it!

Or hold off one more year as the 2028s should get another refresh or they might be the second gen Maverick.
I like this answer also because Ford might also make the adaptive cruise available on a lesser trim level. (Maybe too many "mights"?) Remember with each year the prices go higher.

You “might” be right! Might the starting price be above $30k in 2028?

so...are you going to have to pay sales tax again? Assuming a 4 percent sales tax that means you're likely ponying up $1500 - then you have to take the loss from the depreciation (assuming they're not going to give you more than you paid), then lump on the costs of the upgrades and the next thing you know you're probably down a total of $6K or more and ...for what? Those features you want to upgrade to are 'luxuries' - you know how to turn a key,, you don't need adaptive cruise, the 360 cam? Eh - sure it's a safety feature but you've likely driven decades without it and you haven't really needed it. If money's no problem then go for it but spending $6K+ on stuff you don't really need sort of negates having a hybrid - to be thrifty. For 6K you can buy 1500 gallons of gas, go 60,000 miles. You're going to trade that in for a push button and a camera?

My standard answer, and one I'm applying to myself... Wait and see what the 2027 Maverick and the Ford UEV truck have to offer. Also strong rumors of a new small Toyota.

I have a 2022 XLT LUX ECO CP360 AWD that I'm ready to trade in. A local dealer has a 2026 just like mine with a screaming discount, but I figure I can wait a few months and see what other options are available.

Well IMO, that's a financial and personal decision you should think through, after that, do what you think is best for YOU. I get the desire for the push button start, I've had it on all my newer vehicles for fairly long time now, I'll never go be to having to use a key. Have the 360 camera on my expedition, it helps alot in parking that big vehicle, but I don't see it super helpful in a little truck, have the adaptive cruise in the maverick and expedition, awesome for long highway drives, but local/city stop and go, useless to me.

I lean towards the guys in post #11 & #12 if it was me, especially if you mostly drive local/city, which I assume you do, that's where the Hybrid shines. Your truck is like 1 year old, probably not that many miles, serving it's purpose well I imagine. So if I were in your shoes, I would hold off and see what Fords new EV truck has to off (if that is anything you would consider) or wait for the total refresh on the MY28 maverick which I would assume would be a lot of changes inside and outside.

Good Luck in whatever decision you make!!
