Cars are the worst investment you will ever make.
But they are necessary and sure are fun !

If your finance’s are so tight that $40-$50 more on your payment hurts.
You best be getting a hybrid and a better job.

Now it’s $430, I won’t feel that but many would.
Old school knowledge that the industry ignores.
25% of your income to housing,
25% of your income to transportation,
MAX ! PERIOD!

Now days people lack financial savy.

The wise choice is to keep what you have, put the extra money in the bank for a nicer version of the next vehicle you need, it’s really that simple. But if you think intelligent accesses is worth all the money you’ll lose/waste on the trade, taxes and fees, go for it.

I didn't think I would like a push-button start, but our RAV4 came with one, and now I wish our EB had it. I also miss the ACC that our RAV4 has. But I wouldn't trade up just for those features, when I like everything else about my 2024 Maverick

Or hold off one more year as the 2028s should get another refresh or they might be the second gen Maverick.

Or wait 6 months and see what the new Ford EV pickup looks like.

Trade or don't. Every reply will be THAT person's opinion based on what they would do. It's none of my business what you spend your money on. I worked with a man who never bought a car under 10 years old, never went on a vacation, never went to a concert, never went to a baseball game, a movie, nothing but food shelter and clothing. He was saving every penny for old age so he could "enjoy life". He fell asleep driving home after the graveyard shift and hit an overpass support killing him. No spouse, no children, no siblings or living parents. Have no idea who ended up with his money but at least he died with it in the bank. Point being life is short, live it.
