I have a 2023 XLT with power adjust drivers seat. I'm 6'1" 195lbs. I have no problems getting comfortable in the Maverick. It is especially easy to get in and out of compared to "climbing" out of the 2015 Prius that I used to own.

It sat much lower to the ground and you would literally "sink" into the driver's seat. That car was hard to drive for long periods and hard to get out of after a 2 hour drive.

I'm 6'2" 285 And I find it comfortable. Like someone else commented the gas and brake peddle are different heights on every car or truck I've owned or driven in the last 48 years

6’3”, 275. I am pleasantly surprised by how comfortable my Maverick XL is. I drove it 11 hours from the dealership in north Denver, to home near the Rio Grande in Texas, the first day I had it. Far more comfortable than the 2021 Subaru Forester it replaced.

Maverick is comfortable enough for me (5'10), no better or worse than other vehicles I've driven after almost 2 years of ownership. I do agree that the tilt of the bottom of the seat isn't great. I set everything up when I got it, and fix it after services, but otherwise don't touch seat or steering wheel position. I only find the seat starts to feel uncomfortable after 45-60 minutes of driving, but that's been true of every vehicle I've owned, regardless of seat type or style.
At first seats were tight on back of thighs,
My complaint would be having to push so many buttons to get it into echo mode
It should start off in echo mode.
Engineering dept screw that up.
Also what is with the little cubby hole?
Why not just give us a bigger screen ?
lol

I’ve had my 2024 Hybrid XLT for some time now and I just cannot get comfortable in the thing. It seems that almost every time I drive the truck I am making seat &/or steering wheel adjustments trying to find the correct position for myself. I’ve never found it so hard to get comfortable in a car/truck before.

I’m 28 years old and have owned & driven all types of cars and trucks. The ergonomics of the Mavericks driver cockpit are all out of whack (in my opinion, of course). The gas pedal is further away than the brake pedal. Both pedals are too high. The seats lumbar support is too low. The bottom cushion of the seat is firm and angled up causing harsh pressure (over a short to medium amount of time. (e.g. 10min)). The steering wheel is angled away from the driver…I could go on and on.

I’m a 5’11” male weighing in at 170lbs. I feel like I’m a middle of the road human in terms of size & build. I should be able to get comfy in any vehicle, I’d think.

Personally I think the drivers cockpit is aweful in the maverick. Which is sad to say because besides that, I absolutely love the truck. It’s just a bummer because this is one of the most important parts of a vehicle and your experience with it.

How do you feel about your truck? Have you made any modifications to improve the comfort of your cockpit?
the problem with the seat in my '22 XLT is there is no frontal vertical adjustment-it raises and lowers from the back only(a problem for my 5'2" wife). And the tilt wheel only tilts a "little bit" (love the telescoping). What helped for the lumbar is to remove the 5 rung support and replace it with the 7 rung support, still not perfect but an improvement.I am very comfortable now.

Haha funny you mention this. I guess there was one thing I didn't like! I also had this issue. Here's the first thing I bought after driving my Maverick the first time.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/4034148518...kcgiTXYSz6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Made all the difference.
Does it fit nice for the Maverick? Being universal, I have a feeling that it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb, or does it kind of fit nicely...not that it appears stock... but not like an eye sore that you bought something to put there...and does it help? I bought the center council padded cover to elevate my right elbow up a small amount which it does help, but the left elbow does sit awkwardly low (in my preference). and I feel this would solve my issue... photos by chance of it in the mav?

Sorry man, I think it's just you.
I wouldn't say my new Mav is any more comfortable than other vehicles I've driven, but it's not any less comfortable either. I do think it has excellent visibility.
I'm 5'-10", 190#, and have completed 61 orbits around the sun. I've owned Rangers myself for nearly 30 years but sometimes drive other family member's vehicles which run the entire spectrum (Ford Edge, Chevy, Honda, Kia, Toyota).

Fits great! As you say, it doesn't appear "stock", but it looks fine. Yes, it definitely helps. I'll try to snap a photo later.

My 2022 XL has 21000 miles on it. I've received it in October 2022. I'm 5foot 10inch and 225lb. My seat adjustment was perfected the first day. I haven't changed it. I've driven for 4 to 6 hours straight without discomfort. I absolutely love driving this little truck!

Age, 72, 6'1", about 230 lbs. My longest one-day trip was about 750 miles. Any vehicle I've been in for that long, I start to feel it, and this was no different. But it wasn't that bad, just a long day. A typical one to two-hour trip is no problem. '23 XLT Hybrid. I really don't find it too bad. Later this year, I will cover about 5,000 in about 10 days. Maybe I'll change my opinion then, but I doubt it.

I'm 6' and 375. Wide bodied and wide shouldered. My previous cars have all been luxury-esque cars such as Buicks or Cadillacs. Plush seats, etc. Or pickups, such as an 80s era F-150 with a bench seat. The Maverick is a bit 'stiffer' of a seat but width/back rest, etc all are fine. My big 14EEEEEE feet have no problem with the pedals. My knees fit under the steering wheel nicely and against both the center console and armrest of the door. My shoulders fit right where the contours of the seat are. I have the seat at its lowest setting, with the seat about 2/3rds the way back. Which would make any passengers in that area cramped but manageable. Seatbelt fits great.

I do agree on longish trips, your thighs tend to 'mold' to the harder seat the maverick has (Lariat for me), and once you start fidgeting or get out at a rest stop, you'll feel it when you get back in.

Lastly, though, for me, I put a towel down on the seat. Folded in half. One of those softer bath towels. It does two things, on hot days keeps me from rubbing against the seat if I'm getting in or out, and two, gets a little better cushion especially to the corners where the contours of the corner can be bothersome.

Either way. It is a cheaper vehicle so it's not without its issues. But it's well worth it to me and I've driven several multi-1000 mile trips in it in the two-plus years I've had it.

I drove from Phoenix to Denver in my Maverick last year, only stopping for 15 minutes to get gas halfway. After 12 hours in the drivers seat I still felt just as comfortable as when I left. I bet if you find the right combination of seat and steering wheel adjustment you’ll be golden

I'm 62, 5'9 180#. I am quite comfortable in my hybrid XLT; it's far better than my wife's Honda CRV.
