Then we don't need a thread we just need to continue to track OTD pirices.

There is just no need to discuss this because people can't help themselves and it will devolve into political bullshit.
how are we supposed to track OTD of others without sharing our prices/dealer offers? it will be flagged as political each time. from today til next friday I got a feeling dealers are going to start hiking prices if indeed does happen. we wont know what dealers are pulling unless myself or others post what dealers tell them about their orders or attempts to buy

maybe admin can make a thread just for prices agreed upon, and then prices dealers are trying to hike them by.

no different than when prices went crazy during covid, im sure everyone was talking about ADM.

Ford should build here instead of Mexico. After all the money they got from tax payers this is the least they can do. I mean, selling a top trim Mav for 50k is not justifying moving the production to Mexico
The average annual salary for an auto worker in Mexico is around 320,634 Mexican pesos, or about $17,000 USD. However, wages vary depending on the position and the presence of unions.
  • Unions in mexico
In cities with unions, wages are higher. For example, at a GM Mexico plant, wages ranged from 184.35 pesos to 679.53 pesos per day, which is about $8 A DAY let that sink in.
The average take-home pay for an automotive worker in the United States varies depending on factors like experience, location, and specialization.

Average salary
  • According to ZipRecruiter, the average annual salary for an automotive worker in the United States is $47,069, or $3,922 per month.

  • According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for automotive service technicians and mechanics in 2023 was $47,770, or $22.96 per hour.

This isn't even all of the previous threads asking the same exact question, but they all started out "non-political." Sigh.

If Ford built here instead of Mexico prices would still be higher due to higher labor costs.
the only reason im considering this is the current price though, if it does go up, I gotta bow out and say see ya. I hope that doesn't happen.

What is it with the overly sensitive crowd that wants to lock down interesting threads and go whining to the admins to close them? Hit the ignore button.

It's deceptive to say tariffs have nothing to do with the Maverick. This is a valid thread and should be kept open. All you control freak nannies hit "ignore" please. A discussion on the impact of tariffs for Maverick fans is important. The admins can issue individual warnings and bans when people cross the line, but they should not close this thread.

Can't we get a war zone section added to this place?

It could even include a warning to thin skinned folks of all parties not to read, or participate to avoid any ego injuries...

These "hot button" topics are the future, like it or not...

this will be the most popular thread for the week, thats for sure. but its right to be so, it can make or break peoples orders.

money is hard to make, we dont want to be screwed over. if a bunch of dealers say they honor prices and others say we are adding 5k we need to know so we can negotiate or go elsewhere. or if ford does it across the board. wont know til we hear peoples info/order stories

Tariffs are political, that's the whole point. OF COURSE prices have a chance of increasing, just like any tariff in the past and current ones.

I personally would like to see a trend of vehicles being built domestically because if business like those stay, it helps our communities in the long run.

But I also believe in free trade so any tariffs are a double edge sword for me.

It would be silly to lock a thread that discuss potential price increases. If you don't like it, there are many other threads you can read.

I imagine there could be legal challenges since imposing tariffs would be a violation of USMCA that Trump signed in 2020.

All of these threads end the same. I'll standby with my popcorn.

If they are imposed and they stick then yes prices will be affected. How much? How badly? No one can say but they will be affected.
I would imagine about whatever the tariff increase is. why wouldn't it be that?

To the comment of dealer's increasing prices - wouldn't it be the window sticker pricing that goes up?

And the way many utilities now line item almost every single charge they can that shows it has nothing to do with the service provided, but city/county/state fees and taxes - why wouldn't the sticker just line item that charge like delivery charge.

So not a dealer increase, like that "extra" window sticker might declare.
