I just did the 12" with an f150 apim module. Only issue running into is blue screen on my backup camera..going to dive into Tonight or tomorrow.
We are waiting for the photos of the project.
I am waiting for everything to arrive so I can start with mine. (With a 12" screen)

I had this when I first started. I turned off every single thing related to the camera and went one by one till it worked. Took forever but it works now

I just took it all apart, the pin for number 14 in the apim was short? looks like it was made improperly, fixed that and its all working. @Billzilla15 how did you update with forscan? Did you have to use asbuilt to update right now it keeps disabling me from updating.

I used whatever it is where you put the numbers in . Not the easy multiple choice version

@Billzilla15 what did you do to make fordpass work? Mine just thinks it's in lowe power mode and it clearly is not
Did you disconnect the battery. I basically hot swapped mine and had no issues with mine working.

From what I've gathered is sync 3 needs to be in and working . And just hot swap for the sync 4

I did not hotswap, it was directly to disconnect the battery. I will see about popping it back in start it up and swap it that way

Might just shove back in my sync 3 at this point. Seems like apim module is not communicating with the accm or bdycm or HVAC modules. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Might be a cable issue

Yep took every out three times verified plugged in and same issue nothing communicating with the apim, went ahead and just reverted back to sync3. I think the apim is bad

The clarify most things worked, backup camera Android auto, audio etc, but overlays would not work for backup, audio, HVAC, controls like acc would not communicate. Why this is an issue can't see audio volume or temperature. I really really like screen and everything, might try to make my own harness adapter as this might be the problem and the cheapest way to move forward

Just a quick update, the passthrough cable I have is junk, pins not properly sticking out picked up one like OP did and going to make my own. This process has been frustrating not with the work needed but getting bad wiring :(

thanks for sharing this! Just swapped in a 12” on my Lariat hybrid using this as a starting point. Using a couple plastic spacers, longer bolts, and a 100mm straight bracket for the passenger side bolt I was able to just bend the middle mount point on the screen down, cut out the plastic back cover of the screen, and bolt right in securely. Little large of a gap on the right side of my screen but otherwise looks great.

My boot screen aspect ratio is weird though, and not sure what controls that if anyone has an idea where that’s set in forscan?

Also careful for anyone doing this, don’t reset the sync 4 APIM settings or you’ll lose the app. Think I’d have to reinstall the sync 3 one to get it back sadly.

Did you take any pictures of how you mounted it?

Looks good, but wouldn't the aspect ratio of the 13.2 screen have the screen height lower?
