Just to give an update I also bought mine from panda before I knew where they sources the kit from. I bought on June 13th and still waiting for it to ship and like others lack of communication. Before ordering I do know there was a 3 week delay but that has obviously come and gone.
Just a quick update, the passthrough cable I have is junk, pins not properly sticking out picked up one like OP did and going to make my own. This process has been frustrating not with the work needed but getting bad wiring :(
Yep took every out three times verified plugged in and same issue nothing communicating with the apim, went ahead and just reverted back to sync3. I think the apim is bad
The clarify most things worked, backup camera Android auto, audio etc, but overlays would not work for backup, audio, HVAC...
Might just shove back in my sync 3 at this point. Seems like apim module is not communicating with the accm or bdycm or HVAC modules. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Might be a cable issue
I just took it all apart, the pin for number 14 in the apim was short? looks like it was made improperly, fixed that and its all working. @Billzilla15 how did you update with forscan? Did you have to use asbuilt to update right now it keeps disabling me from updating.
Can elaborate on how the knobs come off? I was trying for a bit and I can get to to separate a little but cant actually remove the knob. Is there a trick like pull harder I just didn't want to break anything.
Just noticed after a drive my trip summary (shows up after stopping ) shows 0.0mpg I am wondering if this is a know issue or something I missed when doing the swap?
In forscan the cluster was set in non-hybrid gas only. Swapped to FHEV and all the screens I wanted are now available.
I looked through this and maybe I just missed it and I just figured to get some reiteration on the ABS module changes required for the escape cluster swap.
In forscan we disable SDM - ABS | I am assuming this doesn't actually disable ABS just disables something that allows additional drive...
I know this has been discussed a few times but did any new info on the traction control come up. Also wanted to clarify that traction control still works? And that the only issue is not being able to toggle it on and off
Yeah, I did completely disassemble everything I could including the control board the silicon membrane and can see how the knobs snap in. The issue appears the the spinning knob part is too large to be pushed through. I am assuming this part separates but again I don't know how and don't want to...
I am sorry, I was not clear. The buttons are not what I mentioned, I said the knobs the dials with digital displays. I wanted to swap the entire housing but couldn't figure out how to take the Knobs (dials) off. Again this is so i could keep the black out center bar.
I just did mine. I have a 2024 Hybrid Lariat. As noted by other I just backed up my original hvac module when i plugged in my escape module it was programed for gas, and just updated it. The only thing I tried to see about doing was swapping the knobs out of the case into the maverick. I like...
