I always wondered why this annoyed people so much. I really never change drive modes.
Because it's unnecessary. Somehow I've been driving for over four decades without a message like that and I'm still around to drive another day.

Ok I don’t disagree but if you are not wanting to change drive modes the message really isn’t in the way of anything as it goes away on its own by the time you back out of your garage or anytime you move a short distance.

I’ll say as well, it’s not Fords fault it’s there.

Here’s a video of what it looks like.

It’s even more annoying when someone is with me because another screen with green checks pops up which I then need to click OK on.

Ok, I have a 2023 XLT. My truck doesn't "Chime". And the seatbelt screen goes away as soon as I buckle up. Not seeing or having the issues you guys are.

I've never seen it on my Lariat.
I see it on my Lariat every time I start the truck. If there's a way to disable in Forscan, I would have a reason to buy a Forscam.

You get no pop up at all when all positions are "buckled". Including the driver. Put in a clip into all UNOCCUPIED SEATS and the driver will still be reminded. If driver buckles before starting there are no messages or sounds of any kind.
Definitely not true on my 2023 Lariat. I just spent 10 hours over two days with four people in the truck and the screen appeared every time.

This video is a great find... for those who have an XL or XLT. I just checked my '23 Lariat and the numbers for 720-02-02 are nothing even close to what the video shows. So sad. I hate this useless screen and hope someone can figure out the Lariat code soon.

I just tried it on my '23 Lariat anyway in the off chance it could still work. (That's how much I hate this screen.) It didn't work. I got a checksum error, tried it anyway, and no dice. The first screen back was the dreaded seatbelt one!

I have a 2023 XL - I tried buckling the 3 rear seats - the screen doesn't show up or goes away so quickly on its own, that I didn't notice. Previously it stayed on long enough that I'd want to hit 'ok' to see whatever screen I was after (usually EV coach, in town).
I then ordered the lower profile buckle "plugs" from China (AliExpress). Got rid of one of my complaints. Would've gone with the extenders and cut them down, if I knew they were $.02ea!

Or you could simply push the OK button on the steering wheel to clear the screen! šŸ˜‰
I agree with others...
- OK
- Selected auto stop off
- select OK
- Select drive mode 4 presses

There is no reason to have to click ok, it's bad UX design, inefficient, and actually makes a person look away from the road more. Auto industry has a really bad habit of letting lawyers create the most epic UX Fails. Often creating new safety issues vs alleviate them.

While we're at it, tack on the lack of keeping certain setting like auto start persistent.

Can't wait for people to report for scan working with 2024.
