Saw my first in NJ on the road it was a black XLT AWD luxury package. and looked really nice .We were stopped at the Mantoloking bridge for a boat passing . I got out and asked how he likes it and he said he loves it . The driver said he had it up to 100mph and it drove great and said he has a Porsche and thought it could take the Porsche of the line . I was not interested in that but more in how it felt all around as I am 6-4 . He said he took it to best buy and had Sirius installed with the antenna on the right side of dash .It was very small with no wires . The bridge went up so that was the end of the conversation but I think if we were in a parking lot we would have been talking for a hour. He did say he loved it . . He also said he ordered in Jan. I told him mine is a Dec order and not scheduled .

Walked by one in a parking lot today and it looks tiny. I am 6’2” and worried it will be like a clown car. However it could just be me😵💫. I am driving the same mid size SUV for 12 years for so it could be just an adjustment period 🤔

Any other tallish guys driving a Maverick?
My friend is 6’ I loves riding in my Maverick wits plenty of headroom! She hates her husband’s Toyota Tacoma because she has to bend her head getting in and says very little headroom.

I am big and tall. It is easier to get in and out of than other full and midsized trucks. A former pro football player and i both were in the front seats and my wife in back. Plenty of room.

here's a video i did when i first got to sit in one. Mine arrived this week. I would only change two things about what in the video:

1. The orange is not bad at all - which surpises me.
2. I would tell you to see my salesman, Eddie McGill, at Ken Wilson Ford in Canton, NC.

Hey there. I was worried about that too, but it’s not an issue. I’m 6’4”…nobody with any real height can sit behind me but I’m surprisingly comfortable in it - I have no regrets !

I love that the Mav is smaller compared to other trucks, yet fits in my tiny tandem garage. Best of all, anyone I'll have ride alone can get in without any assistance. Coming from a Civic, I feel like I'm plenty high enough to see the road and just about everything around me. I'm 6'2", and at no point have felt like the Mav didn't have enough room.

That it is small is why I'm buying it. Fits better in the garage than the F-150 and the bed is big enough for 100% of what I need a truck for. The interior is nearly exact size of a Ford Escape, so if that is comfortable so to will be the truck We have a 2018 Ford Escape and the interior space is fine.
That's good to know. I too have a 2018 Escape. Gives me a good perspective.

If seeing the Maverick as being small, I can only imagine how you feel when you look in the mirror after showering!

Several factors compared to the F150.

No frame means the bottom of the cab sits where the bottom of the frame would traditionally be. The floor is thinner. The clearance is lower.

For width, the center console is not the giant monstrosity the F150s have. It's more car like. The doors are much thinner.

The bed is shorter, and a small engine doesn't take a lot of room up front. It allows more cabin for foot room, leg room, and overall height while sitting. Wish the seats had more adjustments (especially the up down only having one pivot point). But that's why when you're in a maverick it's so much larger than you think when looking at an F150 or equivalent.

I’m 6’3” 295lbs and I fit with plenty of space and I’m plenty comfortable. There isn’t one thing I don’t love about my Maverick Hybrid Lariat
