Finally saw a Maverick in Person and test drove it

So locale dealer I’ve been in contact with got 2 in but of course came in the day I left town for the holidays. Luckily a third came in and was still there when i got back. It was an XL eco FWD in Carbonized gray. Man i am really loving the look of these and in person didn’t disappoint. So took it for a short spin. Handles well, feels planted and gets up to speed nicely. That little 2.0 Eco is nice. I need more but i always planned to mod for more power. I still have to test drive some other vehicles in the coming months before i decide. Not concerned on waiting if i go with the maverick and have to order. But this is gonna be a car I’ll have for awhile and wanna put a lot of thought into it. Anyways i was really happy with the whole package. I’m probably going XLT though due to some minor things the XL is missing. Anyways very excited to see one and drive one and understand the hype and love these have gotten. Definitely a contender.

I found one here in NE Ohio at Park Ford. They want $5.000 over MSRP. They had a couple Bronco Sports also $5.000 over and a full size Bronco, $20.000 over MSRP. I'm glad I ordered mine elsewhere.

Yea they had a 10k markup. I’m not gonna buy off a lot unless they have one at MSRP but i won’t be buying for some time anyways. I told the guy that i just wanted to see one and test drive it and he had no problem. Talked about all kinds of Ford things going on. A pleasant experience. But he said yea if you wanna avoid that fee order it.

i didn’t look through any of the drive modes to be honest. I just wanted to see if it was comfortable which it was. Had ample driver leg room and enough for my kids behind me. I mean got on it and took a few quick turns. It felt planted which was nice.

If I was going to pay cash, wanted no mater the cost, would not give me MSRP, I show up with pennies. Tell them I can make it stop for MSRP.

I went to the dealer to ask about my order till one arrived pulling in to the showroom around 4ish and I said hey I will pay the 2% off msrp and I’m willing to sit down and purchased it today besides I ask your finance how many car you sold today and you haven’t sold any wouldn’t you want to sell a car end of month. So after back and forth they keep trying to get me in a ranger instead I said look I’m hungry it’s been almost an 2 hours here test driving other trucks and car. I said thank you I will hang around here just waiting for my food and leave after. I guess they felt bad I was eating near the sidewalk and just when I got in my car to leave they ran after my car and knock on my window and said can we meet at msrp. The deal was done and it took me 5 mins in finance i said look I don’t need gap,tire insurance,maintenance,star guard. As is pls. Done and done. Had a staring contest with the assistant manager on my way that told me no way we can let it go at msrp. This truck will last 2 days in our lot and people will pay dealer suggested. This mfker said where’s my food and said I had someone who was gonna look at it and willing to pay tomorrow. Bruh
