I am asking some of more tech savvy with FORscan to see if there is a way to disable the steering wheel nag to keep your hands on the wheel while using lane centering. I know the Comma OpenPilot uses a man in the middle scenario to keep the notice from coming up but, I would really like to disable this natively

As a fellow driver I'd like to ask that someone not do this.

Thanks.
Why? It's already been done if you want to spend $1800 for a Comma 3. I've owned a Comma 2 and had it on my 2020 Civic and it worked great. Didn't mow anybody down or drive into a ditch. Not to mention - the Co-Pilot 360 is already setup for BlueCruise which Ford still won't offer on the 2025 Maverick.

If I understand your question, you want to not have your hands on the steering wheel while driving? If so, the Maverick is NOT a self driving vehicle and I will not help disable features that may result in yet another needless 'accident'.

Anyone have a way of keeping these nagging police lights from keeping me awake while I let the truck do its thing?

Honestly , people should drive cars .Not lane centering or any other code bearing programs . Besides it only takes away from the feel of the road having the electric assist crap tied to the rack and brakes.
It also leaves an opening for people to use to say it wasnt their fault when they wipe out a family of 5 and try to blame ford for THEIR (ford) safety stuff not working like they thought it should when in reality the person was just to lazy to drive and pay full attention to all conditions as they should piloting a 4000 pound projectile .

This statement is quite similar to what chronic drunk drivers use when they defend their actions. Basically that it's okay until it's tragically not

It could also be used with Russian Roulette.

Its the same view I've got on all these people really hellbent on disabling the drl lights. "Well I don't notice it on other drivers so i'll turn mine off!"

Please, don't anyone help in this endeavor. The Maverick does not have BLUECRUISE. Not even close. We have enough people out there that are distracted and doing stupid $H!T while they should be DRIVING! This will just add to the ideocracy out on the roads.

Since I dabble in canning of foods, this also makes me think of all the folks on the canning forums and Facebook who can REALLY risky food items in REALLY risky ways and then say "mY GranDMa CAnnED ThiS for yEARs AnD NOBOdy DIiiiiiiED". Right Susan.....and doctors used to say smoking was good for you. Asbestos was used as fake snow. Etc.....

Don’t want to disable? How about increasing the area on the steering wheel to include more comfortable spots many people use.

I’ve yet to find reasonably comfortable hand positions (which allow full control) that meet the detected hands on sensors.

Main reason I just keep lane centering off.

To be fair to the OP, my wife has a Subaru that is SO AGGRESSIVE about the keeping the hands on the wheel when lane centering is on. Even if my hands are on the wheel, it doesn't sense enough input and warns me. I took to literally jiggling the wheel every 30 seconds even while holding it the entire time. I turn it off due to this, similar to you. Not worth it.
