For those of you that have replaced the 12 volt battery with a heavier duty battery trying to solve the deep sleep problem, what battery have you used and how effective was it?

How long ago did you make the change?I replaced mine with an AC Delco LN1AGM battery, which is the same size as the factory battery, but more power and AGM. So far it has been great! Battery state of charge hovers between 82-87%. I am not the first to use this battery. It’s a little pricey, but AGM should cure the discharge problem with the factory flooded batteries. This applies to hybrid only, of course.
Well, I just picked up my ‘24 hybrid two days ago, and joined this group yesterday. I should have joined sooner, had no idea there were battery problems till I saw this post. I’ll start carrying my emergency jump battery and let you know if I have problems. For those of you that have replaced the 12 volt battery with a heavier duty battery trying to solve the deep sleep problem, what battery have you used and how effective was it?
I have 22 lariat. Never failed to start. I do try to put my noco5 amp maintainer for two or more days about every third month. Learned to do this on my 2012 Honda crv that would eat a battery every 30-36 months. My 22 xlt also suffers from deep sleep mode all the time, it is tiresome especially in Winter when it is dark out. I don't drive a lot, just under 10000 miles so far.. the battery was switched out right after I got her, but it didn't fix the problem.
First night I got my Hybrid home (Oct., 2023, after a month from Built to Delivery), I connected it to my NOCO battery tender. Since then, I always connect the NOCO (under the hood at jump points) if I know the truck will be sitting for a few days. I installed a quick-connect plug under the hood for this....There are reports on this forum from people who are blissfully unaffected by the dreaded deep sleep...
Can you point me to the recall/update that mucks with the charging rate? Start/stop will use battery power in the middle of a trip, but does nothing(AFAIK) when the vehicle is parked.Maybe that new recall /update will fix that problem . it's suppose to change the charging rate of alternator . I won't hold my breath . I found that turning off start/stop helpful in keeping battery charged . My Mav is suppose to have AGM battery but has other type . I only have 8500 miles on my 22 .
