It's a Motorcraft MAX, 470 cranking amps and manufacture date of 1-10-24. They installed it in late Feb. or early March.
From my quick scan on the internet, I do not think your replacement battery is an AGM battery. Both the hybrids and ECOs need AGM battery to avoid deep sleep issues.

Thanks for all the input! I can't see spending $250 or so for an AGM battery at this time, budget just won't allow it. Hopefully my extended warranty will keep things humming along.

Yup....I can vouch for the no more deep sleep mode! And I can vouch for the technician who tirelessly diagnosed the problem and solved it once for all! ;)

Also, I am not sure if its related but I do notice the regen gauge maxes out in green when braking. The gas mileage is way better than it has been and I am getting more electric miles in both local and highway driving.
I am glad to hear your maverick is all good now! Was going to ask how it was going but I honestly have been forgetting to message! Still inquiring about that buffalo area meet… have to go through the channels!

I've accepted the fact that the Maverick loves to go to sleep.
Yea, it's basically me on Saturday morning after a shitty week, but every day :ROFLMAO:

Me on Saturday: "It's 8am... I'm not moving from under these covers until at least 9, maybe 10, no matter how bad I have to pee."

That's the Maverick. Holding off the dome lights because it's not quite awake yet.

Ford/Motorcraft doesn't offer an AGM battery in the form factor the Hybrid uses stock.

I keep seeing comments about putting the keys far enough away or in faraday cage to help with the problem.

Unless there are some specs somewhere that say different, from the key side the only time a signal is sent is when a button is pushed.
The truck radio receiver is already on constantly to see that come in.

The truck radio transmitter that may allow seeing a key and getting a response from it (keyless entry like Lariat handle method) - is constantly going off whether it sees a key or not.
Hiding the keys from responding wouldn't change that constant looking.

I would be curious if it is checking more frequently if no key is seen just to be ready, compared to key seen.

Should be easy to see proximity too from signal strength changes, if they cared to use that.
Manual under Remote Control Limits makes me think they do.
The system may not function if:
  • The remote control remains stationary for about a minute.

Faraday pouch does not work, I have tried it. After Ford put new battery in mine, I always put my key in the pouch after driving it. Still went into deep sleep mode.

I just got my first Deep sleep message ever on my truck and I've had it for 8 months.

The only change is this past week I've been running my Android phone through the truck using Bluetooth, and I've been leaving Bluetooth active on my phone. Perhaps the truck in the garage is picking that up, and activating the related systems 24/7. I'll try leaving Bluetooth off except when I'm in the truck.

Do you get pinged by Ford Pass 2 minutes after each drive that your Maverick is in Deep Sleep Mode? Cabin lights don’t turn on when you get into car at night? Intelligent Access unlock doesn’t work on passenger side? … My CT dealer was able to finally fix this after 9 months with this persistent Deep Sleep Mode issue on my ‘22 Hybrid Lariat… here is the tech write up.. ask your dealer to perform these steps… my truck battery saver/deep sleep problems are GONE!

Thank you for the info and attachment. I don't understand some of the acronyms and language and codes.

Do you believe it was the replacing of the battery that solved the issue?
Was there a charge for battery and installation?
Is the battery and what ever was done (which I can't understand) still operating at peak?

The summary is the tech found that the battery monitoring system (BMS) was reporting the battery was at 42% state-of charge (SOC). Tech tested battery, found bad, replaced battery. After reset while SOC of the new battery was at 93% the telematics control unit (TCU) was still reporting a Deep Sleep status to the Ford network so the tech updated the TCU programming in accordance with a service bulletin.

Was that all done without you paying for it?
I would like to get my hands on that bulletin in case and if I need to go into a dealer

Most? I think that's a stretch.
"MOST" that have the issue of deep sleep - the harness bad crimp was solved and corrected, the battery has not. We're waiting for Big Blue to solve the problem at the corporate level, because the dealer apparently is not receiving comp to replace the batteries, unless you have other theories . It's a PIA to walk to the vehicle and worry about driving, even in the summer.

Went for a couple long drives and haven't seen deep sleep issue since. Took to dealer today and they performed SSM-51449 and TSB 23-2060. Hopefully this fixes battery drain issue.
