This post was in reference to the TCU (called "the system"), and removing the fuse for it.Removing the power to the module doesn't remove the ability to send up info?
The module is no longer able to report to a scanner as existing, you can't enable WiFi without it displaying an error, you can't display the modem SIM info.
How could it not be killing the system.
Hopefully you are just as skeptical of these "videos" as you are of responses on here.
The TCU is a module. It is the same as the other modules in the truck, as it receives power, and is attached to a network. The TCU is also connected to an antenna.
If the TCU module is not receiving power, it cannot send data (info).
With power removed, if you have a scanner (OBDII scan tool, or one of many apps that does the same, or a ScanGauge), this TCU module no longer reports to it.
In addition, the ability to display the modem cellular info is no longer available in the truck infotainment center settings.
BlueSpec1's post highlights why all that happens.
ETA: strike comment regarding testing more than fuse 11 on TCU.
