Wish car manufacturers would work on perfecting models currently in production instead of bringing new models out that still have issues . I like my maverick but recalls are getting to be a PITA . Last Ford for now . Hear a lot of talk but no action .

^Exactly @Darnon

If you want to stay away from recalls, you shouldn't buy a new model in the first year or two of production. That goes for any make, and it has been that way for many years.

My 2024 has no recalls. It may have some eventually, but I'm starting off ahead of anyone with a 22-23. Granted, the price has gone up since 2022, but maybe you should weigh the cost vs. the frustration you're having with recalls.

Its interesting that the 24 Mav Hybrid was just awarded the best certified used vehicle in the pickup category, with maintenance costs 16% lower than average. The 23 won it last year as well.

At least Ford has the decency to recall their products unlike GM or other companies where they'll knowingly put out bad stuff and wait until a few people get seriously hurt (or killed) before they take action. It's also a brand new product, takes a few years to smooth out the kinks and quirks.

I have a 22 Maverick and most of the recalls have been software updates. To be honest, the only real issue with my Maverick is the battery. I replaced the OEM battery with a third party AGM battery (I wished Ford would have reimpressed me for this replacement).

My 23 was late in the MY and has 2 pending recalls with the possibility of two more.

pending
BCM software
Turn signal software

possible? have had no communication
Rear cam software
Wiper motor

Dealer has been lightly nagging me on the 2 but I'll hold fire till/if the others shake out and get them all at once. By procrastinating hopefully the software is mature and bug free.

Please let me know if ANY vehicle manufacturers have never had any recalls. Many have been recalled after years of driving as well as new recalls on new vehicles. It’s just “wasting” your time and inconvenience not money and the extra time complaining on the internet, sorry - you can also choose to not get them done if it’s ruining your experience. But again I don’t know of any car maker that has not had any 🤷‍♂️

My wife has a 2019 Rav4 adventure and in 2023 I received a letter in regards to a possible roof rail leak that might occur. And they extended the warranty coverage in this issue for ten years from the initial in service date of the vehicle. Couple months ago we had a pouring rain and I looked and noticed that near the pillar of the front It was wet and they were stains and there was your water leak. So we had to bring in and get it fixed all on Toyota's dime but that was a known issue so these things happen to everyone. Recalls, technical service bulletins or customer something or others they call them now happen to all manufacturers.

I wonder how the complaint, recall, warranty’s worked back in 1931,1932 on the early model a’s and a trucks?
I believe warranty was 90 days , did not include batteries, lamps , tires, or squeaks!
Its funny , with the price of the dollar and inflation $26,000 is about equivalent to the cost of a 1931 model a touring with the rear seat!

No problems at all on mine so far but I have only put 13k miles on it over the past two years. Still haven’t done any of the recalls.
