They've caught all sorts of hell from Bronco owners about the useless tachometer and yet they're doubling down here...
Yeah it's terrible, I'm sure some people will like it though. Personally I prefer my Lariat/Bronco gauge mashup

For me , I prefer physical button, not confident on touch screen , always double check I did press on the right spot:(
I like the buttons on the touch screen, but I would love if they kept the physical buttons as well. I already have the redundancy buttons on the screen in my 22

First thing I noticed (aside from. That beautiful screen 😍) was the S and Mode buttons on the steering wheel, so it definitely looks like we're getting an ST or at least some sort of Street Version. (Hard to see in this Pic, it was clearer on the website)

Second thing was the God-awful instrument cluster that they already have in the 24 Escapes 🤮

Those displays look so, so, so bad. Same design philosophy as the 2024 Tacoma.

I think Ford did a very good job on the upgraded FX4/Lariat screen. It's a good mix of digital and analog, and it's not full of shiny chrome crap that reflects light.

Yep, the main thing that keeps me from definitely wanting to hybrid is the fact that it doesn't have AWD or the independent rear suspension. A little bit more power when it hurt either
awd will just decrease the mpg on the hybrid substantially so just getting an ecoboost awd now will be about the same outcome - and you'll be saving 1500$ since you won't be paying for the hybrid option.

If they got rid of that rotary shifter, I'd order one now!

I thought I saw AWD drops the turbo by 1 mpg. I'm more interested in the independent rear suspension that comes with the AWD. I wouldn't save the $1500 as the AWD option in the turbo is $2200 I believe.

Improve the audio system and I'd consider a new one, otherwise a bigger screen is no big deal, and I like the HVAC controls just fine where they are.

I can't wait for the threads once Ford releases this update with a larger screen but HVAC controls in that screen. Ya'll won't know what to do -- be happy or be pissed. As Dad always said, be careful what you wish for...

Read somewhere that a awd mav would likely require a 2nd elec motor in the back (not much room under there as it is) along with a larger battery and the added differentials - all of those would tally up a fair amount of $ - and the added weight would decrease MPG by a good amount. who knows if they'd be able to also implements the IRS as is on the turbo now. Eh, but if they can pull it off that'd be great but seems like there are a lot of obstacles out there.

Curious to know if it will be Sync 4 or the new Ford Digital Experience built on top of Android Automotive. I hope the latter. As for plastics, I personally don't care. It's a cheap, bargain-basement automotive appliance. I don't need it to pretend to be anything other than that.

Not sure why you’d want that mess of OS in your next Ford…

take a good look at what’s happening to GM to see how great Automotive is…

Porsche and Rivian use android automotive just fine. I think this is just GM being GM.

More tech , more tire , more steps , more money , more problems .
They need a slimmed down model.
