maybe they should focus on improved quality for parts such as CV axles, 12V batteries amongst others instead of bigger screens for show !
But then how would they get you into their service shops after the 3 year warranty runs out?

We can't have that.

Also, good point because most of this stuff loses support after so many years. Then you end up hoping there is a cheap knock off version of that screen or a used one on ebay somewhere.

I think it’s fine if it’s an option or in an optional package.
I agree, I don't necessarily want a huge vertical screen but the one designed into the current model should at least have an option to fill out the space and eliminate the awkward cubby to the right. I wouldn't be apposed to a screen approximately twice the size of the current one.

I hate seeing the Maverick slowly become a $40-50k truck. The whole idea was to make an affordable truck that was great on gas and can run 99% of the errands most people do.

I do like techy stuff but hate when controls go touch screen in a car, I'm not going thru 3 menus and confirm screens just to turn up the a/c. And repair costs? $1k for a $20 lcd if it cracks.
It's already that out the door with the Lariat & added packages.

I like my screen as it is.
Same here. My other vehicle has a 10.25" screen and it still displays Android Auto the same size as the Maverick and leaves a blank section to the right. The car has a couple screens that can fill that place but nothing really useful. I like the one in the Maverick and having physical controls for everything is very nice.

Where is Henry Ford when you need him. He believed in lowering the price every year, not raising it. He did not add all kinds of stuff no one needs either. I prefer manual controls because I know that screen is going to die for some of us and then what do you do with no manual controls.

To quote Montana, Ew, vertical screen. Hard pass.

I have absolutely no interest in a 2025 model but knowing Ford, now that I've said that they'll probably do something devious like offering Eruption Green and an ST model.
Feel the same way - Love my 2022 XLT FX4 don't need anything else . . . Unless . . . 6 speed manual . . . Now that's a horse of a different transmission

I may be in the minority, but I love me some portrait screens!

I don't know about you Tokyo drifters, but I tend to drive forward more than I do sideways, and so maps are better on a portrait compared to narrow long screen so I can see everything up ahead, not two blocks to the left and right.

Also, between the option of having to raise your hand up high and hold it moving left and right, I find lower and up and down more comfortable for touchscreens. This is why just about anyone working on a iPad uses it in portrait mode for everything except watching videos.
Aren't we getting rear-ended enough....

Aside from one small blip in a Sonata I've had nothing but manual transmissions for the last, oh 20 years or so! I'm ready for easy, 2 pedal driving.
I suspect any ST they make will probably have an automatic with paddle shifters (and hopefully the 2.3), it'll probably also be $40-45,000.
