Yeah, I drove from France into Italy once, near Turin. Still scarred from the experience, 30 years later ...
When I was stationed in England and then later Germany, I had many opportunities to drive all over Europe and Italy by far had some of the most hair raising drivers I've ever had to share the road with!!

Tens of thousands of people are satisfied with co-pilot 360 and you are going to let one bad review change your mind?

Are you going to have one of those "student drive please be patient" stickers? I give those vehicles wide berth! 🤣 🤣 🤣
I usually ride their asses and cut them off to let them know what real driving is like.

I have an XL and need CP360 for the sliding rear window and the full size spare so for those alone I like it. Plus it gives me the power side mirrors so those 3 options alone are probably worth the upgrade and there is a guy over on Bronco6G that has a rundown on ForScan and Snyc3 so I am hopeful I can enable ACC and swap out the steering wheel buttons.

I thought Copilot 360 was a no brainer but from this guy's review has me thinking about cancelling it on my order. 1:40ish in the video. Looking for people's opinions one way or the other? Thanks!
So @darrink you've received a lot of opinions, have you decided to keep it or cancel it? Inquiring minds want to know.

That guy's review gave me pause as well. Glad to hear so many people with experience saying it's worthwhile. I can use all the help I can get. Getting old is a harsh mistress. 😭

No idea what copilot is but I don't need anyone else telling me how to drive, my wife already thinks that's her job anyway. Besides, it's more money for something i'll probably never use anyway.

@Big_T . Ha. I'm back on team copilot 360!

Ironically what was concerning me is that the collision system might work too well. The thing is, I live in the crazy driver capitol of the world, North Hollywood, CA. I've never had a warning system in a car and I consider myself on the hyper vigilant side of things when I drive anyway. So initially I'm thinking 360 is a Godsend for all the horrible driving I deal with on the daily. But when the guy in the video said the collision warning system was going off more than he liked, cutting his radio off etc, I got concerned that what is somewhat normal behaviour in North Hollywood, cars being too close, people cutting me off, tailgaiting etc, might make the collision system go off more frequently than I need. Like I don't want the radio cutting out 5 times in a 5 min drive. But after hearing everyones opinions it sounds like most of this stuff can be disengaged if it's bothering me, and it will actually help me avoid the zombie drivers in the long run. So it's staying in the order. And I really appreciate all the feedback. Love this forum.

Thanks for getting back with all of us on your decision. I didn't know if I could wait until the next season of "Will he, Won't he go 360?" 😆 🤣 . Seriously I think you made a great choice!

There are basically two kinds of people. There's the kind of people that find crap like that annoying and have driven cars for years and decades without accidents and don't need their mother-in-law in the backseat to warn them about every little thing. And then there are those who love all the the new parental safety minders and think that everybody should have it whether want it or not. They feel that if people don't like it they must just be stupid.

I happen to be the first example. I don't mind if a car has that stuff, but it better have an off switch so I don't stab the car to death with an ice pick and throw it over a cliff. Sorry to be blunt, but really the question of whether to get it or not depends on whether you're type a or b and your personality behind the wheel.

Here in Italy all the student drivers have a giant P posted on their back window. Maybe go with that.

Kind of ironic because they all drive like dicks here.

Honestly this tech should be immensely helpful driving here. Awful driving conditions, so any help is appreciated, though this is my first experience with any of that tech, same for my wife, so expect a learning curve. I does make me feel good that if the Mav gets passed down to my daughter in a few years she would also benefit from the safety features.

That video certainly didn't change how I feel about it.
Learning to drive in Napoli changed my life, id love this system driving there

But modern mirrors are designed to eliminate that blind spot when adjusted properly. The BLIS system is a backup for that. I'm not sure I understand why you world need that spotter mirror.
Because spotter mirrors don't fail........I trust the sensors, I trust my eyeballs more

The XLT Maverick we bought comes with just the standard Copilot 360, doesn't have adaptive cruise control, or lane centering. Looking into it, looks like not available with the XLT, only available with top Lariat trim level! I didn't know that when I bought it - I would have liked to have the adaptive cruise control, and lane centering. We've had our truck 3 weeks tomorrow, have been trying out (playing with) the lane keeping system, find it doesn't work as well as the '20 Corolla LE we have. Our Toyota has "Safety Sense 2.0", which includes adaptive cruise control, and "lane tracing assist"...Toyota for the win there, including it at no extra cost on their cheaper trim levels. The blind spot monitoring works very well on both vehicles, however, Ford has the edge with the "cross-traffic alert" feature. I'm a fan of the nanny electronics - works well, could save your life, or help prevent accidents. I know for me, stability control, traction control & ABS have really made a difference for winter driving.
