Yeah, very funny but not unusual.🤣
I used to work for a major auto manufacturer. I've seen wrong steering wheels, wrong seats, wrong door panels and even totally different color side view mirrors make it out of the plant.


Most of this stuff does get caught by the keepers and inspectors at the end of each line. But sometimes mistakes slip through and make it all the way to the dealer's lot.

The most obvious for me is watching a dark colored vehicle come down the line with a red or white side view mirror.😂

Mine is being built 5/23 also, so early to mid June would be tremendous!
You better set your expectations to more like mid to early July or August.

Just saying.

I appreciate your attitude about this. The community has seen it's fair share or unreasonable takes on this vehicle. Might even consider keeping it. Good story.

Well today was my day - finally took delivery of my Maverick just about 10 months after order. Couldn't be happier 😁

So far, only one minor problem/warranty issue that I missed at dealer is that all my door handles don't match! For some reason, Hermosillo decided that I didn't want all of my door handles to match on my lariat, so they threw in an orange one for fun on the drivers rear door 🤣 Can't complain, at least finally got my Maverick.

Anyone else experience this? Will it be an entire door panel replacement or just the handle 🤔

Apologies upfront and I, of all people, appreciate the humor in this situation, but this kind of quality oversight is unacceptable from ANY vehicle manufacturer. If something this obvious yet non-functioning-critical to vehicle operation can be missed all the way to delivery, what else might be lurking that was "missed"? Quality is Job 1 ?
Im glad someone said this. This is unacceptable, regardless of how funny one may think it is. Things need to get tightened up in Mexico.

Cringe worthy...at a minimum it's a quality control issue and you should notify Ford of the deviation in their manufacturing process. Might be worth some points or something...you just never know. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
