Penfed has lower rates and you can do a soft pull pre-approval with them https://www.penfed.org/auto
Navy Fed also has rates in the 4 to 6% range.
Penfed is open to anyone nationwide.
I've used them several times on vehicle loans over the years.
My Maverick is currently financed with them at...
I installed the Xcover on the GF's XL Hybrid.
Seems good quality from what I can tell.
Mine has the Ford Tri fold. The Xcover seems just as sturdy. These are selling for $629 on Amazon right now.
All of this depends on where the person lives and the commute.
GF's hybrid real world mpg is closer to 33 mpg. Which is still terrific for a small pickup! For someone living in a city. I'm sure the mpg would be better.
Both our commutes are 30 plus miles one way, mostly highway.
So for her...
Yup, worth it. Neither one has been back to the dealer since they were purchased. One with 11k and the other 23k miles.
The recalls haven't affected anything. Honestly, I keep forgetting to schedule a visit. lol
The 22 XLTs will be unicorns after the 24s come out. More included features for...
I like the versatility of Maverick. The get up and go surprised me! The seats are comfortable as well.
Getting in and out is great! Which is perfect for my height and age.
I'm no Ford fanboy by any means. The first vehicle I drove was a F100. My dad was a hardcore Ford guy.
I've owned more...
Order one of each and let the chips fall where they may. lol
I also ordered two Mavericks and received both about two weeks a part.
If you don't end up buying them. Someone else will in your area, that's guaranteed!
But if you don't order, then your chances are as good as winning the lottery.🤣
Odds will be better, if you can place an order with at least two dealers. I had my GF to do this on the last go around. It's good that she did, because one got built, the XL. The XLT will be pushed into a 24 build. Which is the one she really wanted. But since owning the XL, she's grown attached...
Dealers were making money hand over fist on these vehicles because we have folks that have more money than sense.
By the same logic, this doesn't seem to be working for the housing shortage.
I doubt this will change anything production wise. We shall see.
It is the consumers with no patience...
Just under 11,000 miles on my 22 EB, 15 months in, and 22,600 miles on the other EB I sold to my brother with almost 15 months of ownership. No major mechanical issues with either vehicle.
So far so good. The 23 Hybrid has about 2,000 miles on it now. The GF used it on a vacation trip...
MachEs have around a 180 dayS supply. I know they build a lot of F150s. They still have to sell. Things look about pre-covid normal here, though the dealers want you to think vehicles are in short supply.
I would say the average consumer in my area isn't looking for a 70/80k pickup truck. And...
Guess you don't look around much at the car lots. They sure are piling up around here. 🤣
Some regions have a 250 days supply of F150s. If that's not piling up.. what is it?
Yeah, and it will bite them in the ass. Overpriced F150s and Mach Es have already started to pile up on lots.
I foresee huge discounts on those models in the near future. You're not making money with vehicles sitting on lots for 6 months at a time.
They have to make up for those loses...
Being a hybrid it's going to resell upwards of $30k. Just depends on the model and features.
I was offered just north of $32k for my year old EB XLT with 9000ish miles..
The prices have come down on the EBs.
Not sure it is the same for the Hybrids.
You will have to register the vehicle before they give you a quote.
I tried it out of curiosity with both of the Mavericks I ordered.
Nothing showed up until they were in my name.
I have to be honest. At the new price, I wouldn't bat an eye at the Maverick.
🤣
Once some of these other trucklets are released from other manufactures. It's game on. I'm looking forward to seeing what Toyota comes out with.
I may order one of those in the distant future, if the prices stay...
I remember this!
My father owned two homes.
Both combined aren't a fourth in cost of my current home.
The lumber yards were in on it as well.
I have a good friend who delivers to a major lumber yard in the Southeast.
I mentioned how much lumber had skyrocketed a year ago, and it was said...
