I don't work for Ford anymore, but I can tell you with 100% confidence that a 2023 Maverick cannot get OTAs. Message me the VIN and I can check your warranty history and open recalls to see if it was done or not.

so the message on my ford app is basically a lie. It says "if you do not tow with your vehicle, you may wait for ota deployment for your vehicle remedy" - which implies that there IS an OTA possibility.

Doesn't matter much to me at this point, though I will get it done next time I'm at the dealer for service. Not planning to tow for the foreseeable future.

All but one of .my 2026 Maverick Hybrid 4K AWD calls have been do OTA at night for free.

I hope they were all free, maybe not all at night or OTA. I wonder if these updates will come with a charge once the warranty is up? I know if it's a recall, the answer is no. But, what if the software gets a bug or something? I'm not very digital savvy these days, but could something like that happen?

Someone from Ford tell you that? I just checked with Ford again and they say that's wrong and that the recall is done (June1) and the tech certified it again in the records.
I have no idea if my 23, delivered late November 23, is more capable then earlier models, but the dealership is showing it certified as done.

I simply unplugged my SGII and took it out. IIRC, somewhere Ford has said not to plug anything else into the OBDII port. Didn't want to create any potential warranty problems down the road.

Do not know. Hopefully your sealer service rep won't forget you are waiting for it like mine did. After 2 hours I walked back to ask how much longer and she said "they just finished up." when I looked at the service ticket it showed completed over an hour before.

That happens to me all the time when I get a Works done. I watch the Tech move the truck out, bring the keys in, then the waiting game starts.

Absolutely ridiculous.
