Now that we are experiencing a real winter in Ohio, I've noticed my rear window fogging up and the outside having snow build up. (The tonneau cover probably doesn't help) A rear window defogger would be nice. What I'm hoping will help is installing these Mabett heater vent extensions.

Admittedly, now that they finally mated the AWD with the hybrid, the a rear-window defogger is probably the top of my wish list. I'd happily have traded the power sliding rear window on my not-yet-delivered Lariat for it. I got a set of Mabett hooks to go on the back of my front seat, and they came with a little USB fan. Maybe that will help push air back at the rear window if it's aimed right.

No fog lights and no defogger. Basic safety features. So much for Job 1, Ford.

I don't think fog lights and rear window defrosters are classified as safety features LOL.

Hopefully they have them figured out by now. I ended up turning my rear defroster off in my F150 because the heating element was heating up too fast and shattering windows in really cold temps and I never wanted to take that chance after seeing more and more posts about it.

No defroster will remove exterior snow buildup effectively. On an SUV, gravity will assist the defroster with the snow sliding off the rear window. On a truck, the bed rail/tonneau will negate any benefit of gravity. Get a good snow brush. I have several that extend 4'+ to reach all the way across so I can remove the snow quickly.

When the kids were still at home, we'd have 3-4 snow brushes in every vehicle. Their job was snow/ice removal. It builds character.

Here is one of my favorites:

That's a nice snow broom.
When I lived in the Upper Midwest well before the time of Amazon.
We would get so much snow. I would use a regular garage broom to push the snow off the cars.
The very cold light fluffy snow works great to clean the garage floor. It works just like sweeping compound on a concrete floor

🤓 (y) Your right. I read something once a long time ago, if you run your air conditioner and heater at the same time, it will act as a dehumidifier.

Not sure what you mean by Job 1. The only one with fog lights is the Lobo and none of them have a rear defogger.

If you really wanted to try something janky, I wonder if you could put a rubber tube inside the rear floor vents and run it under the floormats all the way up the rear seat cavity to the window. @MABETT Idk if something like this is feasible but maybe a product idea lol

Yup, I have a couple of those wide floor brooms that I've used a few times as well. When I had an old Trailbazer that was hail damaged, just used a plastic snow shovel on it.

Both my F-150 xlt's with power sliding rear windows and rear defrost, I miss that for sure. I find it odd not even the Lariat maverick offer it.
