Rear Window Defroster Aftermarket Kits

Here in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, we see a lot of snow and cold damp weather, which requires a rear window defroster on your vehicle. The base XL unfortunately does not have such a defroster. To that end, I started looking for an aftermarket unit. I found one today called Clear View II Truck Defrosters. They seem to be reasonably priced and not difficult to install. Has anyone out there installed similar products on their vehicles? Do they work well?
