  1. MPG towing a Harley

'23 Tremor towing an Aluma MC10 with either my Fatboy or the Ultra Classic suffered no real loss in MPG, that's to say maybe 2 MPG towing on I-40 through the mountains in TN and NC You have a Hybrid so perhaps my answer means nothing. It is an answer nonetheless
  2. No start

My '23 Tremor does this every now and then. A little annoying, but, I attribute it to my being to quick to turn the key - meaning I sometimes turn it to start the vehicle before the dash display even lights up - maybe the module that controls the ignition function needs a few seconds to actually...
  3. Power window failure

Does the window operate from the PASSENGER door controls? If it does, then I would suspect the drivers door switch has a bad connection, or has simply failed.
  4. Maverick on Wheel of Fortune today,,,

They've been on The Price Is Right on more than a few occasions, including today, and yes, today the contestant won one.
  5. Door locking incident...

We could all just ignore these "my truck locked me out" threads and then they wouldn't grow to such extremes. As an added bonus the AI bots also wouldn't "read" this stuff and regurgitate it all over the old internet..... I'm sorry in advance, but, regarding this 🤬 locking issue, sometimes it...
  6. Flipped Maverick.. Pontiac Mi

Should be in a detox rehab center..... apparently the dude has issues with alcohol
  7. Driving The Tail of The Dragon

Give Ebbets pass out there in Cali a try, or any of the other roads through the mountains from Tahoe down to the Stockton or Modesto area. A few of those make the "Dragon" look more like a salamander 🤯 To this day I swear on a few of those corners I could look my wife in the eye as she sat...
  8. Driving The Tail of The Dragon

US129 can be extremely nauseating for passengers in a 4 wheel vehicle, especially if they're in the back seat 🤢
  9. Driving The Tail of The Dragon

Ground the "curb feelers" off the floorboards of my Ultra Classic and actually got the tips of my exhaust on the Fatboy in a few corners.😁
  10. Driving The Tail of The Dragon

I've ridden that road many, many times, both on my Harley and my Ducati. Fun times. Have several photos from various trips. Lots of great roads in the NC mountains, the "Dragon" gets a lot of attention and I've found that there are many other roads that are nowhere near as crowded, and...
  11. Hood prop too short

Or worse yet, on the radiator cowel, in just the right spot to jab your navel when doing anything under the hood...
  12. Rear Ended damage to Frame Rails or not?

The area you circled in blue is the unibody's crumple zone. When that area crumples the cost to repair is usually not economically feasible and the vehicle gets totaled by the insurance. Replacing the rear unibody structure is a VERY BIG job, not something a vast majority of us can do in our...
  13. Today I installed a homemade tailgate anchor by Lane. Excellent purchase, fits exact, looks great: Thanks Lane!

Every time I buy lumber, plywood, or anything else that's more than 4.5 feet long. Which for me is quite often. Much easier to use the tailgate tiedowns than try and contort myself into some type of masochistic yoga position to use the ones at the rear of the bed.
  14. WHITE chicken pox marks on Paint, How to Remove?

It might not hurt to ask your dealer to look at it before you make any more attempts to remove the spots. You could get lucky and they will get it covered under warranty as a defect. If it's not covered by warranty I would get a quote from a body shop or auto detailer to have them cut and buff...
  15. Horn blows when passenger door opened.

Is it possible that your passenger started opening their door before the truck was shifted fully into park? I say that because occasionally I'll be in a hurry and end up being a little to quick to open the door while selecting park and I'll get reprimanded by the truck. 😆
  16. Receiver trailer hitch tow "hook"

Seems to me that every light to medium duty trailer I've ever used had a 1 7/8" connection. My motorcycle trailer, the boat, the landscape/utility trailer, even the Uhaul enclosed trailer I rented to help my daughter move... I'm not sure the "scientifically proven fact" would hold up to a peer...
  17. Ford Maverick Lip LED

    Beat me to it 😆
  18. As many have noted, temps above 40F or so really improve MPG

Yes, the computers will make the adjustments by adding additional fuel or reducing the throttle body opening, thereby reducing O2 availability (which both effectively lead to using more fuel) to maintain the proper ratio.
  19. As many have noted, temps above 40F or so really improve MPG

It's not so much the temperature, it's the fact that colder air (as in winter) is denser. Dense, cold air increases the mass of oxygen available in a given volume, directly impacting the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio by requiring more fuel to maintain the ideal balance for complete combustion...
  20. Drivers door locking randomly.

If your truck is not functioning correctly the thing to do is contact your dealer or another qualified repair facility, not go on the internet and argue with strangers as to whether or not it is malfunctioning. My guess is that the dealer will show you their TSB about this known issue. Which by...
